Love Island star Samantha Kenny was fighting back tears during a podcast appearance on Wednesday, after admitting that her co-star Joey Essex ‘hurt her’.
The Liverpool-born beautician, 26, was brutally dumped from the ITV reality show on June 18 after TOWIE star, Joey, 33, recoupled with his ex Grace Jackson days after she entered the Mallorca villa.
She and Joey were coupled up for two weeks prior to Grace’s entrance and the blonde beauty had clearly started to gain feelings for the star.
Now, appearing on the Reality with Will Njobvu Podcast, Samantha put on a brave face as she talked about her brief romance on the show.
At one point during the episode, host Will asked Samantha if she had watched the scenes where Joey was in the hideaway retreat with love rival Grace.

Samantha cooly responded: ‘She got everything that I wanted in 24 hours and I got nothing in two weeks.’
When asked how it felt to go home and watch back the episode where the TOWIE star spent a steamy night in the hideaway with his ex Grace, she seemed to get emotional.
The beautician said it was ‘hurtful’ before beginning: ‘I feel like…’ and then having to fight back tears.
‘I nearly got all emotional I don’t know why. Why am I crying? Why have I just got upset,’ she questioned as she turned away from the cameras.
Will asked if the reality star would like to take a moment to compose herself but she quickly recovered and assured that she was okay.
After explaining how she wanted to build a connection with someone on the show, Samantha continued: ‘I just feel like what even were those two weeks? When I sit and think about it, what was going on in his head?’
It comes just after Samantha’s mother Lynne publicly shamed Joey after he ‘ruined’ the scouser’s time in the villa which left viewers demanding ‘justice’.
After ITV posted a snap of Joey looking dejected by the firepit on the show’s Instagram, Lynne commented on the post: ‘You ruined by daughters 2weeks in the villa [heartbroken emoji] (sic)’.

Viewers dubbed Joey a ‘master manipulator’, unimpressed with his damaging decision-making.
Samantha found herself without a love interest after Joey’s ex-girlfriend entered the villa and quickly rekindled their romance.
As a new bombshell, Grace chose to couple up with Joey after days of kissing and flirting under Samantha’s nose.
This left Samantha as the only girl single at the end of the recoupling.
Grace’s best friend Nicole received a text telling the villa that Samantha had been dumped, prompting her and Harriett Blackmore to burst into tears.
Speaking after she left the villa, Samantha said: ‘I was true to myself and didn’t feel like it was a waste of my time because I followed what I felt was right for me’

Grace tried to apologise to Samantha as she packed her bags but Samantha told her she ‘didn’t want to hear it’.
Joey then entered the room as Samantha packed and tried to speak to her but she told him she didn’t want to hear what he had to say.
The TOWIE star said he had been with her ‘for two weeks’ but Samantha said anything he said to her would just be a ‘p**e of s***e’.
Viewers were left devastated at Samantha’s shocking exit from the villa, with some insisting she should return as a bombshell, while many praised her for how she handled Joey and Grace.
