Love Island viewers were left in shock as the least compatible couple was voted off the show during Wednesday’s episode – just days before the final.
During a dramatic game of Couple of Sorts, Grace Jackson and Reuben Collins were deemed the couple who were least likely to work on the outside by the public and were therefore dumped.
The challenge saw the islanders rank themselves, and then discovered if the public voted the same way, with the final question being: ‘Which couple is least likely to work on the outside?’
The contestants debated and then took their positions on the podium, ranking Grace and Reuben at the top – with viewers agreeing that the pair were least likely to last in the real world.
In second place were Jessy and Joey, while Jess and Ayo were in third.

Their fellow islanders were stunned as the text revealed they had to leave the villa immediately
Grace quipped: ‘I don’t agree and I’ll prove you all wrong,’ before an unexpected text rang out in the villa.
Josh then read out the message which revealed Grace and Reuben had been dumped from the island.
Viewers were gutted to see the pair go, with one penning on X: ‘Love Island did Grace & Reuben dirty, yet Sean & Joey are still in there’;
‘OMG! What a twist. Grace and Reuben have been dumped from the island. Didn’t expect that one at all’;
‘Grace and Reuben leaving the villa is actually insane. Should have been Joey or Sean!’
Speaking after leaving the villa, Grace said in an interview with ITV: ‘I feel good about leaving the Villa, it’s been a rocky road but I’m pleased with how I handled everything as gracefully as I possibly could, it’s been an incredible experience and I’ve loved every second of it.
‘I’m leaving with what I came in for with Reuben and to make it to the final week with all of the other Islanders is amazing.
‘We are going to take every day as it comes but I’m going to go down to Surrey and he’s also planning to visit me in Manchester.
I can’t wait for us to have date night and meet the rest of each other’s families. We are in a really good place and love being around each other so I’m excited to see where things go for us.’
Reuben added: ‘In terms of the public opinion, I had a suspicion they might feel that way because we’re a new couple and also because of the distance. I personally disagree with it. We were around each other 24/7 in there!
‘I personally think it’s a credit to our connection in an environment where everything is sped up, we have done it at our own pace. For me, I think that’s going to be most sustainable in the long run as we’ve set up good foundations for a relationship.

‘When we found out we were leaving, I wasn’t sad, I knew I lived every day to the max and there are a lot of stronger couples in there. We know how strong our connection is and the track we’re on.
‘It was all round a great experience and the fact I got to leave the Villa with an all around angel that I’m very much into and likes me back, I can’t ask for more.’

Love Island fans SLAM ' ultimate pot-stirrers' Joey and Sean
It comes as Love Island has been hit with hundreds of Ofcom complaints once again as outraged fans fumed over Sean and Joey Essex’s behaviour in the villa.
During Sunday night’s episode, 253 viewers issued a complaint to the broadcasting regulator about Joey and Sean Stone’s treatment towards their fellow islanders during the Grafties Awards.
Ofcom confirmed that the complaints were related to the duo’s behaviour towards some of their contestants.
Tons of other fans also slammed the pair on X for continuously ‘pot-stirring’ and meddling in their rival’s relationships.
Throughout his journey on the ITV dating show, Joey has caused a divide over his behaviour in his friendships and relationships, with some branding him a ‘master manipulator’.
Joey came under fire when he revealed Mimii’s ‘secret mission’, medaled with ex-fling Grace Jackson’s couple and disregarded Jessy Potts.

Meanwhile, unimpressed fans claimed Sean, 24, was acting out of character in a bid to secure the 33-year-old TOWIE star’s friendship.
Taking to X they wrote: ‘Sean and Joey may as well couple up’: ‘Sean is begging for that Joey Essex friendship’: ‘Not Sean turning Joey Essex into his idol’: ‘Is Sean not embarrassed? Everyone in the villa has clicked that he’s begging for Joey’s approval’.
‘Sean is really trying to stir the pot like his big brother Joey’: ‘Joey and Sean are genuinely baffling’.
Earlier this month, more complaints from outraged Love Island viewers were issued to Ofcom over the explosive Movie Night episode.
Some viewers were so upset by the heated scenes that they lodged official complaints with the broadcasting watchdog.
According to The Sun , a total of 55 complaints were written in, with Ofcom confirming many related to Nicole Samuel’s attitude towards Ciaran Davies.
During the episode, Nicole shouted at Ciaran as clips from his time in Casa Amor were played in front of the entire villa.

Both were seen second guessing their relationship with Ciaran unimpressed over Nicole referring to him as childish.
‘You just pulled me up on my biggest insecurity, that I told you,’ he told her, to which she said he was ‘giving child’.
‘It’s one thing for me, one thing for you,’ he said.
Getting angrier, Nicole replied: ‘Was there any clips of me on there getting with any boys, or being interested in any boys, or saying things with any boys?’
‘What? Because I kissed Emma in a game?’ Ciaran asked.
Fans were left furious by the scenes with some taking to X to tell Ciaran to dump Nicole after the argument.
