The new series of Love Island is set to feature the most sex ever as randy Islanders will have unlimited access to the famous Hideaway.

can reveal the private room will have an open door for the first time, meaning contestants can use the intimate setting any time they wish without the need to be voted in, which has historically been the case.

Show insiders believe the move will encourage this year’s cast to have more sex, given they’ll have further ‘private time’ away from fellow stars, and even Islanders who are not officially coupled up can use it.

The Hideaway is one of the Love Island villa’s most iconic features and scene of the show’s steamiest moments.

Viewers have previously voted for their favourite couples to spend a night in the room so they can get intimate while, in some series, the contestants themselves have chosen which couple need some time away from prying eyes.

Its greater availability this year is bound to spark even more raunchy antics among the new lineup which includes dancer Harriett Blackmore, model Nicole Samuel and trainee mental health nurse Mimii Ngulube.

A TV insider said: ‘The Hideaway being open to all is a seismic move in Love Island world.

‘Contestants are desperate for the opportunity to have some private time with their love interest, but their chances have always been dependent on whether the room is available to use.

‘But this open door policy will change all that and it’s bound to be very busy.

‘There’s every chance this series could see the most sex ever and show bosses are certainly hoping that’s the case to boost ratings.’

The compound is the sexiest room in the entire villa and has been filled with raunchy items to get contestants in the mood for love-making.

It features a double bed with the words ‘Naughty Vibes’ inscribed above the headboard as well as a private hot tub and swing.

In previous years, there have also been drawers containing sex toys, whips, handcuffs and blindfolds, plus chocolate body paint and seductive massage oils.

But producers have scrapped the kinky accessories in the hope Islanders will spend more time focussed on just the two of them, without any distractions.

Many of ITV2 show’s most iconic couples have benefited from their time in the love den, including Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, plus Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson, either by getting intimate and taking their relationship to the next level or simply chatting throughout the night in order to get to know each other better.

Speaking about the new Hideaway rules, Executive Producer Mike Spencer told : ‘The Hideaway has a new neon ‘No Invite Needed’ sign, so it could be the sexiest series of Love Island ever.

‘There is no invite needed to go in The Hideaway. I think this series is really sexy anyway but we will always take more.

‘We want this series to be fun and young… single, fun people come abroad and find love… it’s worked before and hopefully it will work again.’

He added: ‘This is very work in progress but you shouldn’t be in a couple to go in the Hideaway.

‘As long as you’re not in a couple, you can go in there… because sometimes by default, or from a re-coupling you might end up in a friendship so the idea is there’s no invite needed, as long as you’re not in a couple.

‘It’s one of many things we are introducing… it’s going to be organic and natural. It was fair to change it up a little bit in series 11, it has been a staple for so long.

‘Series one and two will always be amazing in my eyes, it was so fun. Over the years, it has to evolve but now we have got to a really good place, the Islanders coming on the show all know what it is and everyone’s looking for love so we will continue doing what we’re doing.’

Love Island 2021 winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon famously had such a raunchy night in the Hideaway, their sexy antics were deemed too X-rated to show on TV.

The Essex girl wore a nurse’s outfit with fishnet tights and was seen massaging oil into the bricklayer’s bottom before producers had to cut the scene.
