A former reality star has attracted mockery from fans after sharing a string of videos claiming to have been banned from re-entering England for repeatedly criticizing the country online.

Sam Gowland briefly appeared on Love Island in 2017 ahead of his short stint on MTV’s Geordie Shore from 2018 to 2019, before giving up on reality TV and moving to Dubai.

Despite this, the 29-year-old has still been active on social media and in recent months has taken to making videos hitting out at the UK as a way to persuade people to sign up to his ECOM course.

But his recent posts left his fans baffled, after he claimed to have decided to move back to England after all, saying he missed his family and wanted the home comforts and job opportunities.

After sharing a TikTok of him supposedly on a plane flying back to the UK last month, Sam shared another video a week later claiming to be in a room at border control after being stopped by the British authorities for his videos slamming England.

Filming himself from the alleged ‘waiting room’, he said: ‘Can’t believe I’m saying this, I’ve been stopped at border control coming into England for slagging it off online.

‘So I’m in the waiting room now waiting to hear back if I’ll be allowed in England. I’ll keep you updated, this is just a message of you’re ever thinking of slagging England off online. Don’t because this new government is really really not messing around.’

Now two weeks later, Sam took to TikTok once again on Sunday to bizarrely claim that he was ‘officially not allowed back in England ever again’ after having his passport seized by border control for his ‘nasty comments’.

He addressed his followers: ‘I’m now officially not allowed back in England ever again. All because of the “nasty comments” I said about it online.

‘Obviously you seen the other day that I got stopped at border control where they kept me in there for three days and my passport I had to relinquish in their words.

‘It’s been took off me and I’m never allowed to return to England ever again. So that’s that, it’s been a pleasure, so I’ve now arrived back to my home in Dubai.

‘Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise, but I don’t see how an English citizen just for saying bad stuff online is not allowed to be in there. Honestly, didn’t think it was a thing. Freedom of speech, what’s that these days?’

As many of fans reacted in confusion, others explained how implausible his story was, pointing out it was not legally possible and questioning how Sam could’ve returned to Dubai without a passport.

They commented: ‘They can’t just stop a British citizen entering the country, you’d be arrested if you’d done something wrong’; ‘Back in Dubai with no passport’.
