Lorraine viewers have demanded that ITV rebrands the popular show after another ‘genuine’ and ‘natural’ presenter left them impressed.

Christine Lampard has stepped in to front the breakfast programme over the summer, alongside other guest hosts such as Ranvir Singh and Louise Minchin, while Lorraine Kelly takes an extended holiday.

And fans are delighted with the hosting shake-up, so much so that they want the show to be renamed ‘Christine’ while the Irish presenter is on our screens.

According to the viral ‘Where Is Lorraine?’ X (formerly Twitter) account, Lorraine, 64, has hosted 99 episodes out of 150 (66%) this year, meanwhile Christine, 45, has hosted 29 episodes.

Ranvir Singh has reportedly fronted 18, and Louise Minchin and Joel Dommett have both hosted two.

Keen viewers of the ITV programme have flocked to social media to gush over Christine’s ‘honest’ presenting skills, with others claiming the programme needs a rebrand:

‘#Lorraine Lovely woman Christine should be renamed this show and get rid of that Kelly.’

‘TBH they might as well rename it Christine for as long as she’s presenting! Imagine the opening credits…’

‘I enjoy #Lorraine more when Christine hosts the show. She’s more natural and comes across more genuine.’

‘At this point you might as well call the show ‘Christine’ #lorraine.’

‘#Lorraine l do think Christine should host this show permanently. I always think she is honest, herself, interviews well and is sincere.’

‘#Lorraine This show needs a rename #Ranvir #christine #anyonebutlorraine.’

‘It should be renamed Ranvir or Christine for Fridays, with both having their own titles #Lorraine.’

‘#Lorraine Really think Christine should front the show permanently. She is natural, honest and a far better interviewer.’

‘#Lorraine should be renamed Christine/Ranvir.’

The presenter shake-up comes after reports that Susanna Reid and Lorraine Kelly have allegedly been left fuming that ITV bosses are steering A-list guests to This Morning amid the show’s plummeting ratings.

According to The Sun Susanna, 53, and Lorraine, 64, have both ‘been vocal’ claiming they are missing out on interviewing top names.

This Morning, which unveiled new presenters Cat Deeley, 47, and Ben Shephard, 49, in March, has interviewed the likes of Ryan Gosling, Meghan Trainor and Steve Carrell in recent months.

A source claimed there was infighting between the production crews, telling the publication: ‘Susanna has been vocal about wanting bigger names and is frustrated they’re going elsewhere’.

‘Lorraine has voiced the same view’.

Before adding: ‘It feels like big stars are being shipped to This Morning to try and pull them out of a hole.’

have contacted Lorraine and Susanna’s reps, as well as ITV, for comment.

In May This Morning was reportedly in crisis after ‘viewing figures plummeted by half’.

Since the new hosts took over Holly Willoughby, 43, and Phillip Schofields, 62, slot, half a million viewers have stopped tuning into the ITV Daytime show.

With over a million viewers watching Ben and Cat’s first day back in March, two months later figures currently stand at less than 500,000 – a dramatic drop.
