The star’s legal representatives stated that the driver failed to ‘observe and obey traffic control devices and traffic signal controls’ and also failed to ‘look in the direction in which the vehicle was traveling’ which resulted in the collision.
The driver is accused of ‘negligently, recklessly and carelessly failing and omitting to provide and/or make proper and timely use of braking mechanisms, signal devices and steering devices’, according to the suit.
The described collusion saw the moving company’s 2016 Freightliner smashed into the ‘rear and passenger side’ of 2008 Chevrolet at around 10am in New York’s Murray Hill area.
The suit also reads: ‘By reason of the foregoing, the Plaintiff is entitled to recover for non-economic loss and for such economic loss as is not included within the definition of basic economic loss as set forth in Section 5102(a) of the Insurance Law of the State of New York.
‘As a result of the foregoing, the Plaintiff has sustained serious injuries as that term is defined in Section 5102(d) of the Insurance Law of the State of New York.’
It continues: ‘By reason of the foregoing, the Plaintiff has been damaged in a sum which exceeds the jurisdictional limits of all lower court which would otherwise have jurisdiction.’
The filing comes years after Dina herself was sentenced to 18 days in jail for a drunk, 2020 hit-and-run crash at a Long Island steakhouse.

Dina (seen on April 20, 2022, two days before the alleged crash) is suing for an unspecified amount after ‘suffering incurred medical and other expenses as a result of her injuries’
Dina was married to Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan from 1985 to 2007
She then tried to flee the scene but was chased down by the Honda driver. Police said they found Dina in the driver’s seat of her car outside her home.
Dina was taken into custody after allegedly refusing to take a breathalyzer test and cursing at officers.
The arresting officer noted that her breath smelled like alcohol and her eyes appeared ‘glassy and bloodshot’.
She was sentenced at Nassau County Court, in Mineola, Long Island, in December 2021, after accepting a plea deal.
Dina’s January arrest is her second for a DWI. She was arrested in 2013 for drunk driving after police stopped her for speeding at 77mph in a 55mph zone.
Her blood alcohol level at the time was found to be more than twice the legal limit.
Elsewhere, Dina revealed she recently underwent a facelift and neck lift in December 2023.
The momager spoke with Page Six about getting a custom facial rejuvenation surgery done earlier this month, along with a facelift and neck lift.
‘I always believed in growing old gracefully, but if you want to do something for yourself, go for it,’ she said. To get the look, she turned to Dr. Ira Savetsky, a plastic surgeon based on the Upper East Side of New York.

In August, Lindsay showed off her postpartum body on Instagram, writing: ‘I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery.
‘Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world! My OOTD lately is my @fridamom postpartum underwear.
Referencing her iconic film Mean Girls, she added: ‘Because I’m not a regular mom, I’m a postpartum mom.’
