Lily Allen has praised her husband David Harbour’s physique as ‘hench’, while poking fun at his outfit choices.
The singer, 38, admitted that she ‘loves her husband dearly’ as she described the Stranger Things star, 48, as ‘very big’.
Speaking on her new podcast Miss Me? on BBC Sounds, Lily and her friend Miquita Oliver were discussing the 90s fashion trend of men wearing brightly coloured shirts from Ben Sherman.
Miquita quipped: ‘Yes and it was fit. I love that look. Go back to that style, just jeans and a citrus coloured polo shirt, oh my god.’
However, Lily confessed: ‘I don’t think I could deal with David bopping around in a citrus coloured Ben Sherman.’

She then proudly added: ‘He’s very big, like he’s hench as in he works out because he’s a Marvel superhero now.’
David appeared in Black Widow in 2021, as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, who is the Russian super-soldier counterpart to Captain America, and will reprise the role in next year’s Thunderbolts.
Lily continued by mocking David’s fashion taste, admitting: ‘I love my husband dearly – obviously I wouldn’t have married him otherwise – but he doesn’t quite understand what he’s wearing. Does that make sense?’
Miquita agreed, saying: ‘It’s sort of like Harry Styles. It’s like, “Do you know about it though? You look wonderful, but do you know what you’re doing and why?”.’
It comes after Lily and David shut down last year’s split rumours once and for all when they put on a united front at the Stranger Things: The First Shadow press night in December.
The couple tied the knot September 2020 in Las Vegas in a wedding officiated by an Elvis impersonator, after first meeting on celebrity dating app Raya.
David is stepfather to Lily’s two daughters Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, from her marriage to ex-husband Sam Cooper from 2011 to 2018.
There had been previous rumours of ‘marital woes’ after fans noticed Lily unfollowed David on social media.

David addressed the speculation at the time and admitted that the SAG-AFTRA strikes affected their relationship because he was no longer working.
He confessed: ‘Let me tell you, my wife likes when I go to work because it’s nice for her to have her life and me to have my life and for us not to just annoy each other by being around all the time.’
Despite this, the actor confirmed he and Lily are still very much in love as he described his marriage as ‘so great’.
Speaking to People in November, he said that their marriage has only strengthened as they ‘grow closer and closer’.
Lily’s latest confession comes after she hit headlines for candidly admitting having her two children ‘totally ruined’ her pop career because she chose to prioritise them instead of work.
Last Tuesday, she said she believes women have to decide whether to put their children or their career first, saying she chose the former.
Speaking to the Radio Times Podcast, she said: ‘My children ruined my career. I love them and they complete me, but in terms of pop-stardom, they totally ruined it.

‘I get really annoyed when people say you can have it all because, quite frankly, you can’t.
‘Some people choose their career over their children and that’s their prerogative, but my parents were quite absent when I was a kid. I feel like it left some nasty scars that I’m not willing to repeat on mine.’
Lily’s father is actor Keith Allen, 70, who walked out on her film producer mother Alison Owen, 63, when Lily was four years old.
Lily has now said that she ‘chose to step back and concentrate on my children’ and she’s glad that she has as ‘they’re pretty well-rounded.’
