Lily Allen has suggested that Oasis play on their famous feud to bolster the intrigue into their huge reunion tour – as she revealed the band are the reason she got into music.

The Smile hitmaker, 38, discussed the 90s band’s comeback tour on the recent episode of her Miss Me? podcast with Miquita Oliver.

And during the episode, Lily speculated that Noel and Liam Gallagher use their years-long fight as a way of generating headlines.

‘I think the fight helps, do you know what I mean? The tension helps, the fall out,’ Miquita said, to which Lily replied: ‘They will be playing on that you know?’

Elsewhere Lily revealed that Oasis could be the reason she got into music after a teacher at boarding school heard her singing Wonderwall and asked her to start singing lessons.

It comes after Lily revealed in her autobiography that she and music sensation Liam joined the mile high club together back in 2009.

Lily and Miquita spoke about the Oasis tour on Thursday’s episode of Miss Me?.

‘I don’t think anyone… there’s not like anticipation for a band like Oasis,’ Lily said. ‘I mean people were f***ing devastated when they said that they weren’t going to be together again.

‘Not even like Take That or the Spice Girls or… I mean they did have a reunion and it wasn’t as big a deal.’

Miquita said: ‘No it wasn’t as big a deal. I think the fight helps, do you know what I mean? The tension helps, the fall out.’

Lily then replied: ‘And they will be playing on that you know? It’s like “Oo Liam comes straight off stage and gets into a car and Noel goes somewhere else”. It’s like yea they’re two separate people.’

‘What do you think they’re going to do like-,’ Lily began, as Miquita interjected: ‘Skip out holding hands?’

Lily continued: ‘Go back to the Hotel Du Vin together and just like climb into bed and have an ovaltine and watch Love Island?’

Elsewhere Lily revealed the 90s band could be responsible for getting her into music as she said: ‘Oasis are kind of responsible for me singing.

‘Because I was singing along to Wonderwall in my school playground when Rachel Santessa, the stand in music teacher that was covering for the English teacher who was also drama, anyway Rachel Santessa came in and she heard me singing in the playground along to Wonderwall and she was like “You’ve got a nice voice do you want to do some singing lessons and we’ll prepare a piece”, so yeah.’

According to the singer’s 2018 autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly, she met Liam, 51, on a plane on the way to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival in when they proceeded to get ‘hammered’ together and have sex in the toilets.

In the shocking excerpt of her book, Lily claimed they headed to his hotel together after one thing led to another.

However, Liam was married to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton at the time and he begged Lily, who admitted she had ‘grown up an Oasis fan’, never to reveal their fling.

She penned: ‘We got hammered on the plane. At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together.

‘When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, “What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel”… I was like, “Yeah, OK”.’

She added: ‘It wasn’t until the next day when he said something like, “No one can hear about this because of Nic,” then I clocked he was married.

‘I knew Noel was married and I knew Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That was partly why I fancied him.’

Despite hoping the secret romp would never see the light of day, Nicole discovered the truth six months and Liam asked Lily to lie to his wife.

The Fear songstress explained the hitmaker ‘sounded awful, like he’d been up all night’ when he said he needed her to tell Nicole their night of passion was ‘b*****ks’.

However, Lily fired back at the Beady Eye rocker and blasted him for his actions, insisting that he was only trying to save face ‘and not disrupt what really matters: The people we love and rely on.’

After splitting from Patsy Kensit, Liam married fellow singer Nicole in 2008 after dating for 8 years. But the pair divorced six years later after splitting in 2013 – as Nicole she discovered he’d fathered a child with American journalist Liza Ghorbani.

Their son Gene, who has followed in Liam and Nicole’s musical footsteps, was born in 2001.

Lily recently admitted that she ‘can’t remember’ how many abortions she has had as she opened up about birth control in a chat with best friend Miquita.

Speaking on the pair’s podcast, Lily described her reproductive system as a ‘complete disaster area’, confessing she would ‘get pregnant all the time’.

While on the topic of contraception, Lily mused: ‘I just remember I have an IUD [contraceptive coil] now.

‘I think I’m on my third maybe fourth and I just remember before that it was a complete disaster area. Yeah I’d get pregnant all the time all the time.’

As Miquita, 41, confessed she didn’t know if Lily had ever terminated a pregnancy, Lily began singing to the tune of Frank Sinatra’s My Way: ‘Abortions I’ve had a few… but then again… I can’t remember exactly how many’.

Giggling, she continued: ‘I can’t remember. I think maybe like, I want to say four or five.’

Miquita responded: ‘I’ve had about five too! Lily I’ve never I’m so happy I can say that and you can say it and no one came to shoot us down, no judgment. We’ve had about the same amount of abortions.’

Lily then recalled one of her experiences with an ex, musing: ‘I remember once getting pregnant and the man paying for my abortion, and me thinking it was so romantic!’
