The 37-year-old actress said she suffered from a total of three miscarriages, had to undergo surgery and got ‘one thousand shots’ before finally getting pregnant with her unborn daughter
‘I had never had a miscarriage before,’ she told the podcast host. ‘The first one, I was like, “That was weird.”
‘When it happened again right away, I was like, “Wait a second. Something is wrong.”‘
After the second miscarriage, she recalled wanting to ‘step away’ from trying to get pregnant as she felt it wasn’t the ‘right time.’
Michele said she went on to have a third miscarriage, which she pointed out was ‘super challenging’ and ‘very painful’ for her.
‘It wasn’t until a little bit later [that] I had another,’ she explained. ‘I was working at the time. It was super challenging to … process what we were experiencing at the same time, which was very painful.’
She said she wanted to search for an explanation and decided to ‘dive deeper into what [was] happening.’

During her first pregnancy, she also struggled to get pregnant and attributed it to polycystic ovary syndrome.
After that experience, she said she had hoped ‘getting pregnant a second time would be easy.’
Her candid admission and vulnerable recollection comes after she revealed the gender of her second baby.
After her sweet Mother’s Day post, she also disclosed the specific monikers she did not want to name her child.
Last week, she told Access Hollywood that she would never name her child after her Glee character Rachel Berry.
About choosing a name for her baby, she said she and Reich are ‘close’ to making a final decision.
‘We’re close. We’re definitely close,’ she admitted. ‘My husband is so surprised that I’m actually the one holding us up.’
She continued: ‘I’m usually like, “We need to figure this out,” like so far in advance. But, I don’t know.
‘I just think that with our son, we knew the name immediately,’ she said. ‘It was an easy thing for us.
‘And this time around, it goes with the theme of things being different this time around. But I think we’re getting close. We better hurry up though!’

Michele went on to go through her list of scrapped names.
‘Everyone wants Rachel. Is it going to be Fanny? Is it going to be Barbra? I would never do that to my child!’
She continued: ‘But I do have to cross reference if there is a name — is there any association to anything I’ve done in the past.
‘It will not be Barbra, or Rachel, or Hester. I feel like I’d be more inclined to do a “Berry,” because I think that’s kind of cool. Something like that. It would have to be a little… it couldn’t be right on the nose like that.’
