Lauren Boebert has denied punching her ex-husband twice in the nose after he made ‘lewd advances’ on her at a restaurant in her district.
Colorado representative Boebert did admit to putting her hand on Jayson Boebert’s face to ‘keep him back’ before he called 911. The pair married in 2005 and split in 2023 – and share four sons.
She was dining at Miner’s Claim in Silt when Jayson showed up to apologize about an earlier argument from when she had gone to pick up their children from his house.
He allegedly started ‘being disrespectful,’ and becoming ‘lewd’ – at which point he ‘made a motion’ towards his ex-wife ‘to grab her,’ according to her aide speaking to the Daily Beast.
The aide claimed the move was ‘aggressive, not romantic.’ Lauren then tried to keep him back and ‘put her hand in his face, put her hand on his nose.’
Lauren Boebert said in a statement: ‘This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving.
‘I didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options.’

Jayson then called the police and told them he was a ‘victim of domestic violence,’ according to Boebert’s aide. Lauren called a police non-emergency number and said she’d happily speak to an officer about what happened.
Lauren’s aide told the Beast that she had picked the restaurant purposely to meet him for the apology, because she didn’t want a ‘he said/ she said’ situation.
Cops did arrive at the Silt restaurant – and a friend ended up driving Boebert home.
The Silt Police Department confirmed that an active investigation is underway. No one was arrested. When asked by the Beast for comment, Jayson told them: ‘I don’t know what to say.’

But in May 2023, after nearly two decades of marriage, Rep. Lauren Boebert announced she had filed for divorce, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’
She said at the time: ‘It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband.
‘I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process.
‘I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult.’

The Conservative firebrand made headlines last week when she announced she will switch congressional districts for the 2024 election, after scraping to re-election in 2022 by only 546 votes.
Boebert, a 37-year-old grandmother and mother of four sons, said that she had made the decision to continue her fight against ‘the socialists and communists taking over our country.’
She said there was ‘dark money’ directed at her personally ‘to steal this seat’. And she said it was a fresh start after her divorce and ‘personal mistakes’.
Last summer, she faced scrutiny after she was caught on camera groping a date, vaping and taking selfies at a performance of the musical Beetlejuice in Denver, and then giving ushers the finger when she was asked to leave and declaring: ‘Do you know who I am?’
She also sparked controversy by heckling Joe Biden in his 2022 State of the Union address, and caused anger by making an Islamophobic joke about Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

Boebert announced her switch of districts in a Facebook video published last Wednesday, saying: ‘I did not arrive at this decision easily.
‘A lot of prayer, a lot of tough conversations and a lot of perspective convinced me that this is the best way I can continue to fight for Colorado, for the conservative movement and for my children’s future.’
She said the Hollywood elites, Aspen money men and George Soros who tried to stop her can ‘go and pound sand’.
The decision makes her re-election chances significantly stronger.
