The final Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, previewing the highly-anticipated MCU film that hits theaters next week, was full of surprises.
In addition to finally unveiling Lady Deadpool’s full costume amid growing rumors that the character is being portrayed by Blake Lively, it was revealed that Dafne Keen would be reprising her role as X-23 opposite Hugh Jackman.
Previously, Keen, 19, played the the child mutant in the 2017 superhero film, Logan, the third and final film in the Wolverine trilogy.
The teenager has kept her involvement in the project completely under wraps and, even, denied speculation that she may make a cameo in the Deadpool & Wolverine.
‘Of course it’s sad. I love Hugh and creatively, I love Ryan [Reynolds] and I love Shawn [Levy],’ she told On Demand Entertainment. ‘I’m really excited to see what they’ve made. I think Shawn is one of the best directors out there right now.’

Ryan Reynolds says he watched final cut of Deadpool & Wolverine with his nine-year-old daughter
Keen proceeded to call Ryan Reynolds, who has been playing Deadpool since 2016, ‘a legend’ and said it ‘would have been amazing to be part of’ the film.
‘I’ll just go watch it as a fan, to see my old buddy in it,’ she said, referring to Jackman.
After the new trailer was released, Keen admitted that she ‘immediately screamed’ when her agent revealed she was asked to return as X-23 in the upcoming flick.
‘I dropped my phone in the bath. I had to put it in rice; it was a whole thing. I was a bit freaked out,’ she told Entertainment Weekly. ‘I was like, “I will have forgotten how to play her. She’s not in me anymore.”‘
To her surprise, once cameras started rolling, she felt like they ‘were back doing Logan.’
‘It was like eight years hadn’t passed,’ the actress raved.
In the trailer, released on Friday, she can seen briefly speaking to Jackman.
‘Whoever you think I am, you’ve got the wrong guy,’ he tells her.

‘You were always the wrong guy, till you weren’t,’ she reminds him.
At this point, it is still unconfirmed who is behind Lady Deadpool’s mask, but fans are convinced it is Reynolds’ longtime wife, 36.
Some skeptics, however, pointed out the woman’s platinum blonde hair does not match Lively’s golden blonde locks.
Another theory is that the couple’s pal, Taylor Swift, may be Lady Deadpool.
Of the two women, it is more likely Lively took on the role as Entertainment Weekly confirmed that the pop star, 34, would not be in the movie, earlier this month.
Deadpool & Wolverine, which also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Matthew Macfadyen and Jennifer Garner, is slated to debut nationwide July 26.
