Radio stars Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are taking their war with Nova to the next level ahead of their show expanding into Melbourne next month.
On Wednesday, the radio stars spoke to a fan who used to love listening to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie – but she revealed she would be switching over to Kyle and Jackie O.
‘They were very friendly at the start, I liked Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli. But I want quality time,’ former Nova superfan Lisa said.
Lisa revealed she became a passionate Fitzy & Wippa listener after a chance encounter with pair and she was charmed by their unique personalities.
She went on to say that after listening to their Nova breakfast program for over a decade, she was now moving on to KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘I was consumed but not anymore. I can now be consumed with [Kyle and Jackie O].’
Earlier this month, Kyle, 52, and Jackie, 49, made a bold prediction about how their show will be received in Melbourne when it debuts next month.
The pair claimed their breakfast program will develop a huge audience throughout the year to become the top rated show in the city.
On Wednesday, the radio stars spoke to a fan who used to love listening to Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie – but she revealed she would be switching to Kyle and Jackie O
‘A lot of freaks down there will grow to love us. I don’t think it’ll be straight away, it’ll take a few surveys to crack them realistically,’ Kyle told the Herald Sun.
‘I don’t think it will be immediate, but by the end of the year, yes [we will be number one].’
Jackie added she had confidence their show would eventually beat Melbourne’s other top rating radio programs.
‘We’ll just do our thing and whether that’s a slow burn or instant impact, I have faith it will be the number one show eventually,’ she said.
‘We don’t think about ratings, we just have fun.’
The Kyle and Jackie O Show will face some stiff competition when it premieres in Melbourne on Monday, April 29, as Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick breakfast show recently topped the city’s radio ratings.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show currently sits as the most listened to radio show in Sydney, with 851,000 cumulative listeners tuning in each weekday.
