Kristen Wiig showed off her dramatic new look at the 76th Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday.

The 51-year-old Despicable Me 4 star, who has previously ruled out a Bridesmaids sequel, appeared radiant on the red carpet at the Peacock Theater amid speculation about plastic surgery.

Dressed in a dazzling emerald gown, the Saturday Night Live icon exuded effortless charm.

Her sandy blonde hair fell in soft waves, complemented by a subtle pink lip and a touch of smokey eye makeup.

Wiig was among a host of stars at the two-night event celebrating behind-the-scenes talent in directing, editing, casting, costuming, and production design, including Sarah Paulson and Maya Rudolph.

The red carpet appearance comes after a plastic surgeon revealed the cosmetic procedures he believes Wiig has undergone to achieve her age-defying transformation.

The 50-year-old Bridesmaids actress turned heads with her glamorous appearance on Saturday Night Live and at the premiere of Despicable Me 4 earlier this year.

Dr Jonny Betteridge, based in the UK, suggests that her transformation — which he called ‘not possible’ naturally — was down to a facelift.

He also claimed that she had had Botox to smooth lines in her forehead, surgery to reduce skin above the eyes and filler in the lips to give them more volume — all contributing to her new appearance.

It’s not the first time the mother-of-two has been hit with speculation over surgeries, after comments also circulated online last year that she had had a ‘nose job’.

Speaking in a TikTok viewed nearly 100,000 times, Dr Betteridge said: ‘Looking at her from a few years ago we can see some of the classic signs of aging; frown and forehead lines, hooding of the upper eyelids, under eye bags and lower face laxity [sagging skin in the lower face].

‘It’s definitely not possible to then look like she does now a few years later without some non-surgical and surgical treatments.’

He continued: ‘I can see some characteristic changes to her features.

‘The frown and forehead lines have softened from Botox, her eyes appear more open from eyelid surgery, her nose is more contoured from a rhinoplasty, and the lips have more shape and volume from filler.’

He was comparing a picture of the star from 2013, where she appeared at the American Film Institute Festival in Hollywood, to a photo of her from 2024 on SNL.

He also revealed an image of Kristen from the 22nd Annual Screen Guild Actors awards in 2016, which he said showed she had a facelift scar on the side of her face.

She was about 42 years old at the time, with surgeons saying some people get facelifts in their 40s to get a better and longer-lasting result.

Kristen has not previously commented directly on allegations that she has had plastic surgery.

But in an interview in 2016 while promoting Zoolander 2, where she plays a character who overdid plastic surgery, she made rare comments on the topic.

In the TikTok, Dr Betteridge said she had also likely had a facelift

‘It’s a balance… you know,’ she said, ‘some people are older and get some little things done, like if you want to do it, like do it.

‘But I’ve noticed younger kids that do it, it makes them look older, I think.’

She also faced speculation over her appearance after arriving at the Golden Globes in January this year.

And several commentators have said online that they believe that she has had a rhinoplasty to reduce the size of her nose.
