Katy Perry has stepped out for the first time since paying an emotional tribute to her former manager and ‘father’ figure Martin Kirkup, following his death at the age of 75.

The singer was seen visiting her fiancé Orlando Bloom on the set of his Prime Video action-comedy film Deep Cover, with their daughter Daisy Dove, three.

Katy, who also announced on Monday that she has quit American Idol after seven seasons, cut a low-key figure in grey hoodie and white baseball cap.

The pop favourite kept warm in a white cream coat, while keeping it cosy in black joggers and trainers.

The California Girls sensation added a chic touch as she rocked pink-tinted aviator shades as she carried an espresso cup in her hand.

Meanwhile, Bloom donned black joggers and boots, while giving a glimpse of his toned chest in a white tank.

On Thursday, Perrytook to Instagram to share a moving tribute to Martin following his unexpected death in Hawaii.

The star explained she wanted to ‘respectfully take a moment’ to speak about ‘how special he was and is’ to her.

However, the Grammy nominee also revealed how she believed she has subsequently received a ‘spiritual’ message from the late music executive, and could ‘hear’ him through signs that were beyond coincidental.

Following news of his passing, Perry said she has found comfort in seeing her favorite number, 143, in random places.

‘It’s been a number I have seen many times since the birth of my daughter, Daisy. It’s come to me in some of my hardest times to comfort me and is a constant confirmation that whatever I’m doing or path I’m on is the right one to be on.

One day after Kirkup died, Perry said she saw 143s ‘everywhere.’

‘The receipt in the morning was 143, the length of the movie we watched was 143, and to top it off, the one person that came up to me to ask for a picture introduced himself as Martin. What a coincidence, eh?’ she mused.

Perry went on to write that she believes ‘angels and loved ones always want to talk with us… if we are willing to listen.’

‘The signs are all around, we just gotta be open to them,’ she declared. ‘So, I’m gonna stay open and never forget the love, dedication and protection he gave me all these years. What an honor it was to have Martin Kirkup on my team.’

She concluded: ‘I hear you Martin, and 143 back at you.’

Perry began her lengthy post, writing ‘It’s taken me a little while to make this post…something about posting it makes it all feel, final… and even though Martin wasn’t particularly fond of social media and its sensationalism.’

As she spoke about her grief, the mother-of-one explained that she doesn’t believe anyone dies, but that they ‘simply move on to the next dimension.’

‘They aren’t here anymore, but are now EVERYWHERE ✨,’ Perry wrote.

She went on to recall the dynamics of their professional relationship and how she saw him as one of her ‘protectors.’

‘He was vigilant about getting me what I deserved and celebrated the headstrong female I am,’ she raved. ‘I have been so fortunate to have an INCREDIBLE team by my side for almost 20 years, before I had (as my father from Memphis would say) a pot to pee in or a window to throw it from!’

She noted he was one of her managers at Direct Management for almost 20 years and described him as the ‘bulldog’ of her team.

‘Martin and I got to climb so many wonderful professional mountains and have thoroughly enjoyed the views together – traveling, tasting, learning, celebrating, leaning into the fullness and beauty of life. Martin left this dimension with no stones unturned!’ the Roar hitmaker gushed.

Three days prior to his death, Perry said she shared some of her new, unreleased music with him.

‘I could tell he was excited for the future, and I was so glad I had that last moment to make him proud in my own little way,’ the the fiancée of Orlando Bloom stated.

Perry concluded: ‘We didn’t get to physically say goodbye, but I know he knows how much respect and admiration I have for him, and his hearty chuckles and wicked retorts continue to echo through my mind.’

Her caption was shared alongside a number of photos of them taken together over various milestones in her career.

At this time, a cause of death for Kirkup has not been released.

Orlando is currently shooting Deep Cover, a forthcoming Amazon Prime original about three hapless improvisational actors who have been hired by the police to assist in the staging of potentially dangerous low-level stings.

But their habit of saying ‘yes’ to everything without breaking character finds all three submerged in London’s criminal underworld.

The Troy sensation, who has a lead role in the new film, has already taken on a range of outlandish guises since filming began on February 5.

It comes after Katy announced she is leaving American Idol – eight months after insiders exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that she felt ‘thrown under the bus’ by producers.

The pop star and Idol judge used her spot on the ABC show to share the news, which comes after seven seasons on the music competition series.

The multihyphenate has been plotting her exit from the show since last year, when it was revealed she felt repeatedly ‘thrown under the bus by producers’ who she believed were purposefully editing her to look like the ‘nasty judge.’

The California-bred entertainer stopped by the late night talk show to promote season 22 of the long-running show, which will premiere on Sunday.

During the chat, Jimmy, 56, asked how long she planned to continue her run as one of the three American Idol judges, alongside Lionel Richie, 74,  and Luke Bryan, 47.

‘As long as it goes, will you go with it?,’ he asked.

‘You know, actually this fall in September I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock In Rio. It’s really exciting,’ Katy began her answer.

‘It’s a big deal. It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially for my Brazilian fans. I think this probably will be my last show, my last season for Idol. I mean, I love Idol so much,’ she added.

‘It’s connected me with, like, the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse,’ Katy explained.

‘The pulse of Rio?,’ Jimmy asked.

‘That pulse to my own beat, you know what I’m saying, Jimmy?,’ she said.

‘Wow, wow. What did Luke and Lionel say about this?,’ Jimmy asked.

‘Well, they’ll find out tonight,’ Katy said.

‘Did they really not know?,’ Jimmy asked.

‘Well, they know that I have some things planned for this year,’ Katy said.

‘Wow, wow. How about that?, Jimmy said clearly surprised.

‘It’s going to be a very, very exciting year, Jimmy,’ Katy said.

Jimmy later asked if she had a succession plan for her spot as a judge.

‘Let’s just say I’m creating space for my new wingspan,’ Katy said.

‘They will miss you on that show, I’m sure,’ Jimmy said.

‘I love them so much,’ Katy said.

‘So much you didn’t tell them,’ Jimmy quipped.

‘Right,’ Katy said.

‘You told me before. I guess you love me more than you love them,’ Jimmy said.

‘No, they know, they know,’ Katy said. ‘They figure I’ve been in the studio for a while. So they figure something is different.’

‘So this will be your farewell season,’ Jimmy said.

‘I think so, yes, it will,’ Katy said.

She noted it was their seventh season and former judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson had seven seasons.

‘Oh, so you feel like you don’t want to overshadow them or what?,’ Jimmy jokingly asked.

‘No, I love the show so much. But I want to go and see the world and maybe bring new music,’ Katy said.

‘Yeah, go see the world and make some new music,’ Jimmy said.

‘Maybe I’ll come back if they have me one day,’ Katy said.
