American pop singer Katy Perry was prized with a very special gift from the Hawthorn Football Club this week after her amazing performance at the AFL Grand Final on Saturday.

The 39-year-old American star received a personalised HFC footy jumper which was stenciled with her name and the number one in silver spangles.

A smiling Katy later posed for a photo of the one-of-a-kind singlet style guernsey which featured Hawthorn’s classic gold and brown colours.

The image was later shared to Hawthorn’s official social media with the caption: ‘Newest member of HOK’.

Currently AFLW champ Emily Bates wears the number one for Hawthorn.

The clubs fans responded to the post with enthusiasm with one follower messaging: ‘Will Katy’s next world tour be called ”the Hok tour”?’

‘She knows talent,’ said another.

‘Hopefully she wears it on GF day [next year],’ a third fan joked.

It comes after Katy revealed what she ate in while she was Down Under to perform at the AFL Grand Final.

In an Instagram video, the American pop star, 39, revealed she consumed several eggs.

Standing in front of a table full of breakfast items, Katy explained: ‘I eat a lot of hard boiled eggs because they are a great source of protein.’

She cheekily added she had devised her own time-saving method for cracking the eggs.

Katy's 20-minute set during the AFL GF included two tracks from her latest album 143, Lifetimes and Gorgeous, as well as a selection of her best known hits, including I Kissed A Girl and Roar
