Kathy Burke has sparked a feud with duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as she shared what she really thinks of the Geordie presenters.
The comedian, 59, didn’t hold back as she branded the pair ‘f*****g a******s’ and she reprimanded them for their career choices and accused them of ‘betraying’ their heritage.
Speaking with fellow comedian Seann Walsh on her podcast Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake, she revealed her disparaging opinion on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and most notably the reality show’s choice of contestant.
Ant and Dec are the long-running hosts of the popular ITV series. However the show has received criticism in recent years after it began welcoming unpopular politicians on the show for huge pay checks.
While former Health Secretary Matt Hancock appeared on the show in 2022, despite the controversy surrounding his affair during a national lockdown, Nigel Farage was the latest controversial politician to appear on the show last November for a £1.5million fee.

Kathy revealed her disparaging opinion on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which Ant and Dec host, and the political contestants they have picked in recent years as she confessed she no longer watches
Speaking to Seann, who appeared himself as a contestant in 2022, she said ‘I didn’t watch this year’s because of Farage being in it.’
‘It was a step too far having [Matt] Hancock in there I felt but I thought I’d watch it anyway. But when they announced Farage I just thought, you f***ing a**eholes.’
Making reference to Nigel’s strong opinions on immigration, Kathy continued: ‘And I don’t know was really angry with Ant and Dec. They’re Irish descent, man.
‘And also I think it was really unfair on the rest of you, on the other contestants.’
However while Kathy shared her disappointment in Ant and Dec, the pair themselves also called for a year on I’m a Celebrity with ‘no politicians’ amid accusations from Nigel’s team that ITV is ‘stitching up’ the former UKIP leader.
Allies of Nigel hit out at the broadcaster on various claims back in December including cutting his airtime, breaking an ‘indecency’ clause and alleging plans to release a video in which the Brexit Party founder makes a racial slur.
When asked if they would have Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the show, Dec replied: ‘I think we do a year without any politicians.’
Meanwhile Ant pumped his fists in the air on their Instagram Live and said: ‘Agreed, agreed, agreed.’

Nigel caused a quite stir at ITV following his ‘attention-seeking’ tactics in the jungle which saw him stripping completely naked on a number of occasions
Previous political figures on the show include Nadine Dorries in 2012, Edwina Currie in 2014, Stanley Johnson in 2017 and Matt Hancock.
Nigel became an unlikely favourite amongst viewers on last year’s series and ended up finishing in third place behind Tony Bellew and winner Sam Thompson.
