Her sultry performance of Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, wearing a pink satin dress and flanked by adoring male admirers has been endlessly emulated.
And 70 years after Marilyn Monroe reinvented Hollywood glamour in Gentleman Prefer Blondes, Kate Moss has recreated her look for the new Charlotte Tilbury campaign.
The supermodel, who turned 50 last week, wore a pink strapless gown – similar to Ms Monroe’s William Travilla creation – and over-the-elbow gloves, with her blonde hair curled in 1950s-style waves.
Dripping in jewellery, Ms Moss did her best impression of the late film star by flinging her arms up in the air and posing alongside a group of male dancers.
She was joined by supermodel Jourdan Dunn, 33, who is also a regular in Ms Tilbury’s campaigns, to promote the launch of her new Hollywood Beauty Icons lipsticks.

The glamorous new campaign was to promote the launch of her new Hollywood Beauty Icons lipsticks
The make-up artist, who is a celebrity favourite, has studied ‘Hollywood lip architecture’ to come up with brand new range of shades.
‘We always have so much fun dressing up on set and this campaign took it to the next level – we really embodied the Hollywood icons of the past and present,’ said Ms Moss.
‘I loved the Icon Baby lipstick used on me for the shoot. I do love a nude lip, and this is such a gorgeous nude rose shade and feels luxurious when you apply it.
‘The Hollywood Vixen lipstick is the perfect movie star red and makes you feel like a true Hollywood icon.’
She added: ‘I always make sure I have one of Charlotte’s Lip Cheat liners in my make up bag and I’m obsessed with the NEW! Icon Baby and Red Carpet Red shades, which paired perfectly with my Hollywood Beauty Icon lipsticks.’
Ms Tilbury was one of the guests at Ms Moss’ blow-out 50th birthday party in Paris last week, with the supermodel even borrowing her friend’s vintage coat when it got a bit chilly.
She was among the 30 select guests who were invited to the exclusive Laurent Restaurant for a night of eating and dancing until 2am.

Ms Moss, who has been teetotal for over five years, and now has her own wellness brand, Cosmoss, was still the last person to leave the party despite her new commitment to clean living.
Ms Monroe cemented her status as Hollywood’s ultimate blonde bombshell with her role in Howard Hawks’ 1953 musical comedy, starring opposite Jane Russell and Charles Coburn.
The scene in which her character, Lorelei Lee, performs alongside a group of potential suitors is considered one of the most beloved in screen history.
Madonna famously imitated the scene in her 1985 music video for song Material Girl.
