Kai Trump revealed whether her grandfather would travel in the SpaceX rocket during Elon Musk’s most recent launch in Texas.
Kai – the 17-year-old granddaughter of the incoming president – headed to Brownsville with her grandfather to watch Musk’s Starship rocket launch last week where she documented the trip on her YouTube channel.
After the successful launch and separation, Kai gave a glimpse into her overall experience as she spoke to the camera.
‘I’ve never seen something like that, and the noise of it when it was going up was insane,’ she said.
But she then spoke of the question that everyone wanted to know – if Trump was joining forces with his buddy to head into outer space.
‘I asked grandpa, “Would you go in it?”‘ she added. ‘And he goes “No.” He would not volunteer going into space,’ she laughed.
Kai also spoke to Musk – who she sweetly nicknamed ‘Uncle Elon’ – to ask him if he played Fortnite.
Wearing a MAGA hat and a blue suit, Trump was captured in the back of the frame standing alongside other attendees which included Republican Senators Ted Cruz, Bill Haggerty, Kevin Cramer and Rep. Ronny Jackson.
Despite the success with the launch and separation, the starship booster landing did not go as planned and part of the rocket landed in the Gulf of Mexico and not on the landing pad as anticipated.
