Justin Timberlake has reportedly decided he will no longer ‘cater’ to Britney Spears fans after he defiantly revealed that he will apologize to ‘absolutely f*****g nobody’ amid the ongoing backlash against him.

The singer, 43, has been under fire since his ex Britney made explosive claims about their tumultuous romance in her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me.

She extended an olive branch to the singer earlier this week as she apologized for ‘some of the things’ she said in the book, as well as praising Justin’s new music.

But, as fans made it clear that they have no plans to follow her lead, Justin boldly announced on Wednesday night that he would no longer be making any apologies for his past actions.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, a source close to the father-of-two explained: ‘Justin has decided that he will never get the respect from Britney’s fans and Janet [Jackson’s] fans so he isn’t going to cater to them anymore.

‘He intends to be himself and only treats things in his mind fairly. Britney called him out in her book, he’s had a constant back-and-forth with her over the years that will never end.’

The source continued: ‘When he apologized originally, it got him nowhere, so now he is just dealing with it the one way he has to and that is not putting much care to anyone’s feelings but his own.’

Back in 2021, Justin issued an apology to both Britney and Janet for ‘benefiting from a system that condones misogyny and racism.’

It was in response to his treatment of Britney, as well as the fact he did little to help defend Janet from the almost career-ending backlash she faced after her breast was accidentally exposed during their 2004 Super Bowl performance.

In her book, Britney claimed that Justin urged her to have an abortion when she fell pregnant and accused him of making her look like a ‘harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy’ when they split.

Justin appeared to reference the resulting backlash against him while performing at the opening of the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas last month.

Ahead of launching into Cry Me A River – the 2002 break up song which he wrote about Britney – he told the audience: ‘No disrespect.’

But the apology failed to keep Britney’s fans at bay as they went on to successfully create a campaign to get her 2011 track Selfish charting above his comeback song of the same name last week.

Justin’s frustration about the attack on his chart position may explain why he showed little remorse at his concert when he stated: ‘I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize, to absolutely f***ing nobody.’

Somebody who attended the gig reported that Justin made the remark just before performing Cry Me A River.

Though her fans have been less than forgiving, a source close to Britney revealed that the singer ‘isn’t expecting anything’ from her ex.

‘Britney offered her apology not expecting anything from him in return,’ the insider stated. ‘She did this to keep her side of the street clean and her apology was genuine. She never intended to hurt him.’

They added: ‘She was only sharing her truth. They have not talked at all in over a decade.’

The source explained that Britney’s camp wasn’t surprised by Justin’s fiery comment on stage.

‘Saying anything at all during his show is just his attempt at getting publicity for his tour,’ they claimed.

‘Of course, his statement was misogynistic, arrogant and narcissistic. No one would expect anything other than that from him.

‘But his current ticket sales and the fact that her version of Selfish topped his during the first week speaks volumes.’

Reflecting on the current rollout for Justin’s new album, they added: ‘Justin is trying to revive a career that he built as a member of a five-man band.

‘After ditching his band to go solo he now is seeing that he alone can’t sell records anymore. Britney has never needed anyone to sell records. And she still outsold him from a bonus track 14 years ago.’

Last week, Justin released his new single Selfish, which marked his first solo song release since 2018, when he launched his album Man of the Woods.

Following the move, praised Justin’s new music and apologized for ‘some of the things’ she said in her memoir.

However, Justin’s antics on stage appeared to have fired up the singer on Thursday as she took to her Instagram account to write: ‘Someone told me someone was talking s**t about me on the streets !!!

‘Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!’
