Alert – Justin Bieber adopts tried and tested signature move with wife Hailey after cosy restaurant date – as pictures prove she continues to be embattled star’s support system amid rumours of marital strife

They’re rumoured to be battling marital problems but Hailey Bieber continued to be a huge support to husband Justin as they left Lucali’s pizza restaurant  on Thursday.

So much so that the reclusive singer, 30, adopted a tried and tested signature move when out and about with his wife, 28, that seems to help him feel safe.

The popstar and his model, wife had enjoyed a low-key dinner with pal Kendall Jenner, 29, in New York City ahead of the weekend amid ongoing fan concern on both the health of their marriage and Justin’s general wellbeing.

And in a move that he’s done several times before, Justin clung onto his wife and gripped her tightly around the waist as they made their way outside.

Amid reports Justin has a ‘deep-seated worry’ about being in public, Hailey appeared to provide not only emotional support for her love but physical assistance too as she acted as a barrier to the world as the two stepped outside.

The model stayed firmly in front and close to her troubled partner as they made their way to their waiting car.

According to the insiders, the hitmaker has become ‘borderline reclusive’ after struggling with the idea of spending time in large crowds or with groups of strangers, following years of being in the spotlight.  

Indeed, this isn’t the first time that Justin has adopted this tried and tested method of embracing his wife from behind. 

Earlier this month, the Sorry hitmaker stayed firmly behind the stunner as they stepped out in New York.

And just days later, they adopted the same stance during another outing in The Big Apple.

While back in 2021, he couldn’t keep his hands off his wife as the pair left dinner at the upscale San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, California.

Amid growing concerns for Justin’s health, a source told DailyMail.com last month: ‘Justin has been struggling for the last couple of years and a significant part of that is down to his worry about being in certain public situations. 

‘He has built up a deep fear of being out in spaces with lots of people and has a deep-seated worry about large crowds.

‘That is one of the reasons why he’s not done any touring for a while.

‘Justin focused on trying to heal and get better by staying away from too many outings away from his homes where he would have to mix with strangers – and that in turn has made him borderline reclusive at times.’

His fears have taken a toll on Hailey who has been desperately trying to encourage him to overcome his concerns, with the insider claiming their recent trip to Aspen was her attempt to help ease him into public life.

They added that his extreme wealth and excessive fame has afforded him the ability of never having to leave his house.

‘The toll of being locked away from the world is also tough,’ they said. ‘It is tough on a partner, like Hailey, who is supportive and wants to help him get through these moments.

‘Their recent trip to Aspen is an example of how she is encouraging him back out in public with close friends.’

Indeed, Hailey has long since proved to be Justin’s rock, with the Baby singer previously crediting his wife for helping him out of a dark place in 2020.

Speaking in a 2021 interview ahead of the release of his album Justice, Justin said that he has come up against many challenges in the last 12 months that left him feeling ‘unstable’. 

But the singer revealed that Hailey helped him get his life back on track after the difficult patch. 

Speaking to The Sun, he said: ‘One of the tracks on the album is called Unstable, and for me its a really emotional song because I was in a really, really bad place maybe a year ago.

‘Fortunately my wife was just there for me through it all and so the whole message of the song is ‘You loved me when I was unstable’. 

‘She really held me down and you know just continued to love me through a really challenging, hard season that I’d been in – so the person in the song that was me.’

The supermodel shielded her eyes with a pair of black shades and swept her dark tresses back into a ponytail 

Elsewhere, both Justin and Hailey are devout Christians and credit their faith for getting them through their ‘tough’ first year of marriage. 

The pair’s recent meet-up with Kendall comes comes after a source close to Justin and Hailey told DailyMail.com that Hailey ‘works all the time,’ while Justin ‘chills with friends’ and spends time at home with their baby son.

Fans have expressed concern for the couple due to their stony-faced public appearances, and Hailey’s famous friends have allegedly urged her to leave the singer due to his ‘unacceptable’ behavior.

‘Hailey’s been struggling with Justin almost since the start of the marriage,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘She loves him madly but he’s a loose cannon. Some of her friends have advised her to go it alone and leave him.

‘His behavior is sometimes unacceptable. She’s put up with a lot,’ they added.

The insider said Hailey’s friends were hopeful that Justin’s behavior would change after he became a new father to their baby son Jack, but her close confidants allegedly don’t feel that fatherhood has made a significant impact. 

‘When the baby was born he was there for her and she thought being a father would change him for the better, but it hasn’t stuck,’ the source said.

Fans were troubled after noticing in January that Justin no longer followed his father-in-law Stephen Baldwin on Instagram.

They were even more shocked when he appeared to unfollow his own wife on social media, but Justin quickly claimed that his account had been hacked.

‘Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,’ he claimed in an Instagram Stories post. ‘S*** getting suss out here.’

Concerns about Justin’s wellbeing escalated last year, as his relationship with his former mentor Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs came under scrutiny after the rap mogul was sued by numerous women for sexual harassment, before he was hit with federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Diddy has vehemently denied all of the allegations and charges against him. 

Last week, Justin and Hailey raised eyebrows when they were both seen dining at the popular spot Bar Pitti — but not together. 

Hailey dined there in the late afternoon and was seen leaving solo around 4:30 p.m., and Justin arrived around half an hour later with a group of some friends.

He left the restaurant on his own around 6:40 p.m.
