Julie Goodwin’s highly anticipated debut on Dancing With The Stars has been postponed.

The 53-year-old was forced to withdraw from round one on Sunday night following an injury.

The MasterChef season one winner suffered two serious tears to her calf muscles during a rehearsal with her dance partner Andrey Gorbunov.

‘I was jumping on poor Andrey here and something snapped. Fortunately, it was my leg and not his back,’ she told hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brow in the season premiere.

A clip then aired showing the agonising moment Goodwin’s leg gave out, leaving her screeching in pain.

The footage continued, showing her in the hospital, where a doctor delivered the crushing news.

‘We need you to stay off that calf so we can give you every opportunity to be dancing as quickly as possible,’ the health expert advised.

Despite the setback, Goodwin remained optimistic, saying: ‘It’s gonna be alright…we’re gonna be alright. Bedazzle a moon-boot and away we go.’
