She’s been fronting the ITV staple during its countdown to Christmas.

And Josie Gibson was quick to joke that white wine ‘turns her into an animal’ as she enjoyed a boozy This Morning segment on Thursday.

The presenter, 38, indulged in a tipple or two during a festive tasting segment with co-host Craig Doyle.

Admitting she wouldn’t be drinking too much of the beverage, Josie joked: ‘I tend to stay away from white wine because it turns me into an animal.’

Putting down her glass, an eager Craig said: ‘No no no,’ before pouring out more wine, adding: ‘A little tippy toppy.’

It comes after Craig left viewers in hysterics by storming off the This Morning set as he lamented the impending traffic he’ll face as he heads home for Christmas.

The presenter, 53, jokingly dashed out of the studio after pleading with viewers to ‘get off the M4 at about 12:30pm today’ when he planned to travel home for the festive season.

It came after Craig was roasted by chef Becky Excell, for failing to don a Christmas jumper for his appearance on the show, with the star joking he ‘looked like a tree.’

Craig first lamented the festive traffic while Alice offered her tips for last-minute Christmas shopping, saying: ‘If everyone could get off the m4 about 12.30 today please.’

Alice then warned him that 12:30pm would be the ‘worst time to travel’ leading Craig to frantically dash off the set.

Struggling to hide her laughter, Josie Gibson called: ‘Come back here! you haven’t finished yet!’ with Craig eventually returning to the set.

Earlier in the show, chef Becky also poked fun at Craig’s choice of jumper for the show, as she and Josie opted for glamorous festive ensembles.

Turning to Craig, she said: ‘You did not get the memo,’ with the shocked presenter noting: ‘I look like a tree.’

Becky joked that Craig looked like ‘a tree without decorations,’ while Josie noted her co-host had now been ‘roasted.’

Coeliac UK Ambassador Becky appeared on This Morning to demonstrate for viewers how to cook a gluten-free Christmas lunch.

At the start of their daily news segment, Craig said: ‘Now Vanessa you have made some news surrounding coeliac disease this week.

‘We just want to say we will be doing more about living with the disease, on the show. Tomorrow for instance we have the brilliant Becky Excell coming in to make a gluten free Christmas lunch.

‘And in the New Year we’ll be digging deeper into living with coeliac and similar diseases on a day-to-day basis, that’s all to come but for now lets crack on with the news.’

Reacting to the announcement, Becky tweeted: ‘So… it’s happening. @thismorning contacted me to ask whether I would come on the show and I said… YES.

‘Tomorrow morning I will have the chance to show that a gluten free Christmas dinner is both easy to do and delicious & that us gluten free folk ain’t difficult or a problem.

‘What things would you like me to mention most? (if I get the chance… it’s live TV but all I can do is try my best)

‘I’m really grateful for this opportunity on behalf of the entire coeliac and gluten free community. I really hope you will tune in and support me. I’m quite nervous! Thank you to everyone who requested for me to be on the show – it means a lot!’
