The Hollyoaks actress, 36, then had a second miscarriage six weeks into another pregnancy in February 2022 – on the day of the couple’s engagement party.

In a joint interview, the happy couple spoke to Cheshire Life about how they have coped with baby loss.

While Jorgie explained that their heartbreak made them ‘stronger’ as a couple, Oliver added it was important to be open about their raw emotions to get through the tough time.

She said: ‘We felt it was important to talk to each other and try and be open and honest about how we felt. We went through the toughest times and it made us stronger. Having Ollie there by my side gave me the most support.’

Oliver added: ‘I think it’s really important to just take each day as it comes, to take each emotion as it hits, whether it’s anger or sadness. As a man, I think you can feel helpless. I wanted to protect Jorgie and take away her pain but in reality all you can do is be there for each other.’

Jorgie, who has dated Oliver since 2020, recently appeared on an episode of Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast, Happy Mum Happy Baby.

Opening up about the tragic miscarriage, she said: ‘I remember just like, we were arguing and stuff.

‘And I was just like, you have to tell me what you’re feeling and thinking because you’d like keep it in a bit at times. And then he’d like, let loose and tell me everything.

‘And I was like, Ah, okay, and so we really lucky with each other, that we opened up so much, maybe in an argumentative way.

‘But then we came around afterwards and was like, to so caring, so loving, so understanding and so like, oh, it’s not just me, the mum that’s been through this, like, Ollie as the dad has suffered loss.

She added: ‘And also, he’s not been able to do anything physically, emotionally, like he didn’t have, you know, a very helpless position to be Yeah.

‘And so, he felt like he couldn’t say anything at the time. But now I was like, you have to because you are a part of it. It’s a partnership.’

Speaking about finding out they were due to have four babies, Jorgie said: ‘Yes, (the nurse) did say I can see three sacks. So she said they could be triplets.

‘Ollie lost his mind. He went ‘whoa, what?’ He went pale. He didn’t speak. I was like, ‘Oh, wow, triplets. Jeez.’ And I remember leaving that room be like, Whoa, that’s a lot.

‘And he was like, we have to change the car, I don’t want to drive a minibus. Like he’s thinking we can’t really afford three and I’m like, wow, three. Okay, that’s cute.

‘So, then we get to this hospital the next day and the woman was on a computer for good half an hour. Like really long. They were all silent. And we’ve all got masks on.

‘Couldn’t see anyone’s expression as well. So, we were like, when she turned to me, like I was like, I’ve actually counted four Ollie, literally lost his mind.

‘Silence. And I was like, Four! Four! And I was swearing, I was like ‘I can’t hold f******g four, I’m too small.’

Amid the couple’s heartache, Jorgie shared the happy news that Ollie had popped the question three weeks before Christmas.
