The Jonathan Majors-starring film Magazine Dreams has been removed from Disney’s release calendar just days after his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari was charged with domestic assault seven months after he was arrested for ‘attacking’ her.
According to CNN, the studio has confirmed that the 34-year-old actor’s project currently does not have a scheduled premiere date.
The feature was originally set to premiere on December 8, although its release has been maligned by by the performer’s ongoing legal issues.
Several other projects had their release dates changed by Disney, and its Rachel Zegler-starring version of Snow White was pushed back from 2024 until 2025.
It was revealed that Majors had joined the cast of the now-shelved feature in October of 2021, and Deadline reported that he would also serve as one of its executive producers.

The movie was centered on an aspiring bodybuilder who pushes himself to dangerous lengths to achieve recognition from his peers.
Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige and Mike O’Hearn rounded out the cast of the sports drama film, which was written and directed by Elijah Bynum.
Majors drastically changed his physique while working on the feature, and he told Variety that he ate over 6,000 calories a day and took part in three daily bodybuilding sessions in order to achieve his desired form for the film.
Magazine Dreams made its official debut during the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, which took place this past January.
The feature was received positively by critics, and it currently holds a rating of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, Majors was arrested on charges of assault, strangulation and harassment in New York City just two months after Magazine Dreams premiered.
At the time, it was reported that the performer was involved in what the Associated Press described as a ‘domestic dispute’ with a woman who was later revealed to have been his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, at an apartment in Manhattan.
The actor later filed a counter-complaint against his former partner, and CNN reported that he requested a dismissal of his case.

However, the motion was ultimately denied, and Majors’ case is set to go to trial on November 29.
According to Variety, several other women who have allegedly been abused by the performer are currently cooperating with the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, issued a statement to deny the allegations and to state that the actor’s legal team has ‘provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false.’
The performer has been dropped by both his management and public relations firms as a result of his legal issues, and he has also been removed from several projects.
