Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner who has since turned on him, Tony Bobulinski, says Joe Biden was the ‘enabler’ of his family’s lucrative foreign business deals.
He plans to tell Republicans leading impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden today that the president ‘enabled’ deals with China and other foreign adversaries, according to his opening statement obtained by DailyMail.com.
‘I want to be crystal clear: from my direct personal experience and what I have subsequently come to learn, it is clear to me that Joe Biden was ‘the Brand’ being sold by the Biden family,’ he says in opening remarks.
He continues to say Joe was ‘more than a participant’ in his family’s business, but rather ‘an enabler, despite being buffered by a complex scheme to maintain plausible deniability.’
Bobulinski is appearing today before impeachment investigators on the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees in a deposition that is expected to take up most of the day.
‘The Biden family business was Joe Biden, period,’ DailyMail.com has learned he will say. In addition, he plans to detail how Chinese energy company CEFC ‘successfully sought to infiltrate and compromise’ the Obama-Biden White House.
Bobulinski, a Navy veteran, worked with Hunter Biden and his uncle Jim – Joe’s brother – in 2017 to create the joint venture SinoHawk Holdings with CEFC.
Republicans are set to interrogate Hunter Biden ‘s business partner who has since turned on him, Tony Bobulinski, on Tuesday
Joe Biden, seen with his son Hunter in June, has always insisted he was not involved in Hunter’s business dealings
In 2020, Bobulinski publicized a May 2017 email detailing a proposed equity split for a Chinese investment.
The cryptic message said 20 percent of profits would be divided, with 10 percent to ‘Jim’ – likely Hunter’s uncle, Jim Biden, and ’10 held by H for the big guy.’
Bobulinski claimed that ‘the big guy’ was Joe Biden, who was vice president until January 2017.
He also will tell impeachment investigators that ‘it is also not a coincidence’ that CEFC used the Biden family’s ‘weakest link’ Hunter to funnel in tens of millions of dollars.
In addition, he says he has ‘never’ been contacted by any Biden administration agencies including the Justice Department, FBI, IRS or any law enforcement about his allegations.
Democrats are hitting back at Bobulinski’s claims, saying he’s just another Republican witness with allegations that have been ‘disproven.’
‘This seems like a scene from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest here with Mr. Bobulinski. The first and most important point is simply that he offers absolutely no testimony that indicates any criminal activity by President Biden,’ said top Oversight Democrat Jamie Raskin, ‘or evidence that President Biden was involved in Hunter Biden’s businesses.’
Rep. Dan Goldman, D-N.Y., added ‘[Bobulinski] said that he had two conversations with President Biden ever, and neither one of them had anything to do [with], or any relation [to], or any discussion of any of his business dealings.’
The White House is maintaining that Joe Biden was never involved in his family businesses in any capacity.
Bobulinski previously claimed that the FBI ignored evidence about the Biden family’s alleged crimes and ‘altered history’ by suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.
In a bombshell interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in 2022, Bobulinski brought up a voicemail he says proves that Joe was well aware of Hunter’s deal with CEFC.
Joe Biden called Hunter in December 2018 saying he wanted to talk to him after reading a New York Times story about Hunter’s dealings with Chinese oil giant CEFC.
Files on Hunter’s abandoned laptop previously disclosed by DailyMail.com show that he struck a deal with the Chinese company worth millions of dollars.
The Times’ 2018 story pointed out CEFC’s chairman Ye Jianming had been arrested in China and his lieutenant Patrick Ho had been convicted of bribery.
After seeing the story online, Joe called Hunter and left a voicemail saying he was ‘in the clear.’
‘I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear,’ Joe said in the voicemail.
The message flies in the face of the president’s repeated denials that Joe ever discussed or was involved in Hunter’s overseas business dealings.
Hunter’s lawyer Abbe Lowell has claimed that Bobulinski lied to the FBI.
Late last year, Hunter asked the U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C. Matthew Greaves to investigate his former associate, saying Bobulinski had deliberately mischaracterized his ties to the Biden family.
He is accused of acting to malign ‘the character and reputation of [Hunter] Biden and his family, and to boost his own sense of self-worth.’

IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who have testified that the federal probe into Hunter was tainted by political influence, also claimed Joe Biden was ‘the big guy.’
Next week Republicans will hear from President Joe Biden’s brother James on February 21 and Hunter himself on February 28.
Republicans subpoenaed the pair for testimony and threatened them with contempt charges before they agreed to come in for closed door testimony.
