Jodie Foster glammed up for the Mexico City premiere of True Detective: Night Country, which took place Thursday at the Cineteca Nacional.

The 61-year-old former child star looked elegant in a black pantsuit over a nude top accented with chain necklaces, and peep-toe patent leather pumps selected by stylist Samantha McMillen.

Foster – who went with a high-volume hairstyle for the event – wore foundation, pink gloss, and copper-colored eye shadow which brought out her baby blues applied by make-up artist Brett Freedman.

Jodie (born Alicia) just admitted she became ‘completely content’ after reaching the age of 60.

‘The 50s were really tough for me, and it’s why I didn’t really want to act very much,’ the two-time Oscar winner told Vanity Fair on Wednesday.

‘I felt like people wanted me to compete with my old self. I was confused, like: What am I supposed to be doing? When I hit 60 – and maybe it’s a chemical thing – I suddenly became completely content. I find the real beauty is supporting other people’s time. It’s really not my time. That was a hard thing for me to say in my 50s, but for my 60s, I want to be supporting new ideas that new people are thinking.’

Foster executive produced and stars as gruff police chief Liz Danvers in the $60M-budget fourth season of Nic Pizzolatto’s award-winning anthology series, which premieres this Sunday on Max.

‘This is the first time in a really long time that I felt just 100% excited about it,’ Jodie gushed of True Detective.

‘Sometimes you get something that’s blessed. I feel like Silence of the Lambs had that and maybe Little Man Tate, but it’s pretty rare. You meet the director and you’re like, “Love her!” And you see a co-star where you’re like, “I hope she says yes!” And then everybody ends up doing their best work. Maybe they’ll never be as good again, right? Because it’s part of a tapestry of blessedness or something. I mean, it almost never happens.’

The mystical mystery about the disappearance of eight male scientists from a climate change research station is set in fictional Alaskan town of Ennis, but it was filmed in Iceland where the cast and crew braved temperatures as low as −9F degrees.

True Detective: Night Country currently has a ‘certified fresh’ 98% critic approval rating (out of 50 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The life-long Los Angeleno was joined on the black carpet by her belly-baring castmate Kali Reis, who plays her police partner Evangeline Navarro.

Foster and the 37-year-old Native boxer-actress then posed with executive producer Mari-Jo Winkler, showrunner Issa López, and HBO president of programming Casey Bloys.
