Jimmy Fallon made savage jokes about Biden’s COVID diagnosis during the opening monologue of the Tonight Show.
‘On the bright side… it’s the first POSITIVE news he’s had in months,’ Fallon quipped to laughing audience members.
He continued to brutally mock the president, saying ‘that’s right – Biden has COVID. Luckily he can’t spread it because Democrats have been distancing themselves from him since the debate.’
‘Biden had fatigue, a cough and brain fog… then he got COVID,’ the 49-year-old comedian joked.
‘Thankfully, Biden is expected to make a full recovery – and his doctors say he’ll be back to 60 percent in no time.’
Fallon’s hilarious take on the diagnosis came after the news broke on Wednesday that President Biden had come down with the illness and would be quarantining at his Rehoboth Beach house in Delaware.
Bill Maher also poked fun at Biden on Friday night’s episode of Real Time.
‘Good news: Joe Biden has only minor COVID symptoms: a headache, a loss of smell, and an inability to see the writing on the wall,’ he posted on X.
Maher also jokingly touched on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump: ‘I’m glad you’re okay… because if you weren’t I couldn’t keep making jokes about you.’
He then gave the Republican party props on a ‘very good convention,’ right up until the end – when Trump gave a ’93 minute’ speech.
‘Joe Biden has spent the last three weeks giving Americans a lot of reasons to doubt his mental acuity… and then Trump gets up there and goes “hold my beer”‘ Maher said, ripping into both parties’ candidates.
Days ago, Maher launched his latest takedown of President Biden as he maintained there is ‘no chance’ the 81-year-old will end up as the Democrat nominee.
The host of ‘Real Time’ said in a recent appearance on The Rubin Report that Biden will be forced to eventually exit the race because ‘pressure will keep building’ – but insisted that for Democrats, there is ‘still time’ to turn it around.
‘It does not have to be a disaster,’ Maher, who previously claimed the president was ‘toast’ on Friday’s episode of ‘Real Time,’ said.
Maher sat down with the show’s host, conservative commentator Dave Rubin, in an episode released on Tuesday – although it appeared to be recorded before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
Rubin, a former Democrat who has since become a staunch Republican and supported Ron DeSantis’ presidential bid, began their interaction by branding Biden’s spiraling campaign an ‘epic disaster’ for the Democrats.
But Maher countered that hope is not lost so long as Biden steps aside, and even speculated that the left could have an easy time defeating Trump if they nominate a moderate and charismatic candidate.
‘This is a great opportunity, America likes new,’ he said.
‘It almost doesn’t matter who it is. Just someone new. The less we know about them the better.’
Pointing his remarks to the Democratic Party, Maher continued: ‘Just get everybody who is not 100 years old, got a ‘D’ by their name, and is sort of a centrist and you can win this election. Just give us that choice.’
On last week’s episode of Real Time, Maher predicted the exact date that he believes Joe Biden will step aside in the presidential race as he issued an optimistic look at who could replace him.
The comedian, 68, rattled through possible replacements including Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris and Gretchen Whitmer, as he insisted that ‘Biden is toast.’
He joked that ‘when’ the 81-year-old bows out, he will pick August 9 as the date – the same day that Richard Nixon became the only president to resign in 1974.
