Jessica Simpson gave her 6.2 million Instagram followers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her daughter Maxwell’s’s 13th birthday trip to Paris over the weekend.
While marking her first Mother’s Day as a single parent following her split from Eric Johnson split after 10 years of marriage, the fashion designer, 44, shared a sweet tribute to her eldest child.
‘My oldest, Maxwell, turned 13 in Paris on May 1st!!!’ she captioned her slideshow. ‘My Mom surprised us with the most beautiful celebration of Parisian life and love. 3 generations 3 connected hearts 3 spirit filled souls 3 women who smile, laugh and shine brighter through it all.’
She continued: ‘It is official…I AM THE MOTHER OF A TEENAGER and I LOVE IT.’
In the images, Simpson snapped photos of her little girl in front of the Eiffel Tower, eating a crêpe, browsing through the La Galerie Dior and shopping.
Among the adorable shots were a sweet snap of The Dukes of Hazzard star receiving a kiss on the cheek from Maxwell at lunch and another of them snuggling in their PJs.

Maxwell looked overjoyed to be in Paris as she gave her grandmother a big hug in their hotel lobby and, later, walked arm-in-arm down the street with her.
The newly minted teen wore various cute outfits on her getaway, including a pretty white dress, which she accessorized with a $4,000 Christian Dior Saddle Bag.

Simpson’s final photo of Maxwell in her slideshow showed her daughter chilling with a sheet mask on as she watched a movie on her iPad during their flight home.
In her post, Simpson described Maxwell as a ‘a leader, a doer, a protector, a light, a determined force, a lover of life, a goofball, a treasure, a creative, a care bear, a trusted wise old soul.’
‘Maxwell is indeed a drama free intuitive feelin’ empath. She is an inspiration to all who know her, follow her and confide in her,’ the mother-of-three gushed.
Simpson went on to also take a moment to wish a Happy Mother’s Day ‘to ALL.’

But they didn’t shut the door entirely, teasing, ‘With Jessica and Eric, you never know.’
