Alert – Jennifer Aniston’s BFF Courteney Cox poses for rare photo with Brad Pitt…. almost 20 years after her Friends costar divorced him

Brad Pitt made a very rare sighting with Courteney Cox at the Rock4EB benefit in Malibu, California on Saturday.

The 60-year-old Troy actor had his arm around the Friends actress – also 60 – who appeared a bit apprehensive.

This is a shock move as Cox is best friends with Jennifer Aniston whom had a difficult divorce from Pitt almost 20 years ago.

It was not known until now if Pitt and Cox were on friendly terms, but the photograph seems to confirm it. 

Jennifer and Brad were married from 2000 to 2005 after dating for two years.

When he moved on with Angelina Jolie, Aniston did not hold back when it came to putting down the matinee idol as she said he had a ‘sensitivity chip missing.’

Cox and Pitt were close when he was wed to Jennifer. They were often seen vacationing together in Mexico.

And Pitt even made a guess appearance on their TV show Friends; it was a 2001 episode titled The One With The Rumor.

The synopsis: Monica (played by Cox) invites Will (played by Pitt), an old school friend of her and Ross (played by david Schwimmer) over for Thanksgiving dinner, unaware he isn’t too fond of Rachel (played by Aniston).

In recent years Pitt and Aniston seem to be at peace however, even shaking hands and flirting a bit when they ran into each other at the SAG Awards in 2020. 

Brad’s date for the Malibu event was his girlfriend of two years, Ines de Ramon, 31. 

The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor looked fashionable in a cream shirt with  khaki trousers that had a bold, yellow plaid pattern and silver zipper details.

Their attendance at the benefit comes shortly after DailyMail.com exclusively learned that de Ramon has ‘banned’ her friends, family and even work contacts from talking about her and Pitt’s relationship and even made then sign nondisclosure agreements to ‘build trust.’

‘Ines has told all her pals to never ever leak any information of any sort about her or them,’ a source told DailyMail.com. 

‘She is playing it very safe because she loves Brad and wants him to trust her as she hopes to marry him one day,’ added the source. ‘She really cares about him.’

The beauty has, however, accompanied her Hollywood star partner as he promotes his new film Wolfs, which has put a spotlight on the shy executive: she was at both the Venice Film Festival and LA premieres of the movie and was seen with him in NYC as he made press rounds. 

Pitt likes lots of privacy.

‘Ines knows that Brad has a big issue with women who kiss and tell, he loathes that and thinks it’s lame. He has always worried that women use him for his fame,’ the insider noted.

‘But Ines clearly is not doing that and he feels at ease with her. She is being super careful to not say a word about him because she wants to build trust with him, she wants him to lean on her and see her as wife material.

‘She is in this for the long haul and doesn’t want to mess anything up with Brad.’

Ines serves as the vice president of Los Angeles–based fine jewelry brand Anita Ko, a role she has held since January 2020. And she has modeled here and there.  But she never makes a big deal with either.

One example is how she doesn’t push Anito Ko.

‘Ines wears Anito Ko jewelry all the time, but she never tells reporters, she never even talks to them, and she doesn’t make a big deal of it,’ said a source.

‘She doesn’t want Brad to ever think she is trying to push her career or her agenda at his events. She is clever that way.’

And when the star – who does not use social media, though she is on Linkedin for her career – modeled in April for the spring/summer 2024 ad campaign for UTER by designer Philippe Uter, she kept it quiet.

Meanwhile, Jolie said last week she was overwhelmed by the ‘beautiful feeling’ of putting her children first in life.

The mother-of-six Maleficent actress, 49, has sons Maddox, 23, and Pax, 20, as well as daughters Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with her ex-husband, Pitt.

She has now opened up about coming second compared to her kids.

The single mom told CR Fashion Book about the lessons she has learned from being a parent: ‘There are too many to count or name just one. But the moment you become a parent you are never first again.

‘Your life is for another. It’s a beautiful feeling.’

Pitt has not been photographed with his six children in over eight years.

Her remarks come as she and Brad continue to battle over the sale of her chunk of the French vineyard where they got married in 2014. 

The pair’s relationship came to an end when Jolie filed for divorce on September 20, 2016.

While Brad, 60, had originally sought a 50/50 arrangement relating to their six kids, an insider said in March that he is no longer contesting the matter. 

That means that Angelina, 49, will retain primary physical custody of the children and he will have visitation rights. 

Pitt has spent time with the kids, he has just not been photographed with them. 

She has previously told WSJ. Magazine about her huge bond with her kids: ‘They are the closest people to me and my life, and they’re my close friends.

Angelina also discussed managing her fashion brand Atelier Jolie and her role as opera singer Maria Callas in the upcoming film Maria.

She said about spending months training to sing for the movie: ‘(Director) Pablo (Larraín) expected me to learn, to really sing… to understand and study opera, to immerse completely and do the work.

‘But it was much more than that, it was to understand Maria Callas and be able to play the character.’

Angelina said the training was an ’emotional’ experience and was like ‘therapy’ she didn’t realize she needed.

She added: ‘I had no idea how much I was holding in and not letting out. 

‘So, the challenge wasn’t the technical, it was an emotional experience to find my voice, to be in my body, to express.

‘You have to give every single part of yourself… everything that you’ve got.’
