Internet sleuths have claimed that Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick JD Vance loves to wear eyeliner.
The Hillybilly Elegy author has been accused of donning a fine line of black makeup to make his eyes look bluer.
Multiple photos shared online claimed to provide definitive proof that Vance is a fan of eyeliner, which is most commonly worn by women.
Photojournalist Zach Roberts claimed to have definitive proof, writing: ‘I really thought people were joking about this, but then I photographed him last week. Vance 100% does wear eyeliner.’

Roberts shared a close-up he insisted showed the line of makeup as proof.
And he hailed Vance for his alleged makeup choice, saying it enhanced the 39 year-old’s rugged looks.
Roberts wrote: ‘ I really thought people were joking about this, but then I photographed him last week. Vance 100% does wear eyeliner.’
According to The Independent, a TikToker claimed to have found Vance’s exact shade of eyeliner.
But her insistence that the GOP lawmaker wears a shade called ‘desperation’ by Urban Decay suggests she was joking.
Jimmy Fallon cracked a joke about Vance’s rumored make-up wearing on his show, with the lawmaker accused of hypocrisy for allegedly wearing eyeliner while taking a tough stance on transgender issues.
Vance has not commented on the makeup claims – but if true, he’d be in good company within the Republican party.

A snap of Vance taken from side view. He hasn’t commented on the eyeliner claims, having recently been accused of having sex with a sofa
His running mate Donald Trump, 78, is so well-known for his mahogany fake tan and dramatic blonde hair that the former president’s look has become iconic.
The eyeliner drama is not the first bizarre rumor to hit Vance.
Last week he was accused of sex with a sofa after internet wags claimed his book Hillbilly Elegy had detailed his attempts to make love to a latex glove sandwiched between two sofa cushions.
The rumor is false, but has nonetheless set the internet alight.
Vance has faced more serious controversy over resurfaced remarks he made in 2021 claiming the United States was being run by a ‘bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.’
Likely-Democrat presidential pick Kamala Harris – herself childless – is among those who’ve criticized Vance over the remarks.
Fans of Trump and Vance’s MAGA ticket have dismissed the rumors and dramas as online fluff that will have little bearing on the vast majority of voters.
