While promoting her new movie Borderlands at San Diego Comic-Con last week, Jamie Lee Curtis threw some savage shade at the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 65-year-old actress plays Tannis in the upcoming video game adaptation, in theaters August 9, and she took part in a group video interview for MTV.
At one point in the interview with the actress, along with Edgar Ramirez (Atlas), Florian Munteanu (Krieg) and director Eli Roth, she was randomly asked what ‘phase’ the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in.
Without any hesitation, Curtis – who is filming Freaky Friday 2 with Lindsay Lohan – simply said, ‘Bad,’ which caused interviewer Josh Horowitz and her cast mates to crack up laughing.
Curtis has never starred in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and seemingly never will, since this isn’t the first time she’s thrown some shade towards the MCU.

The review by longtime NYT critic A.O. Scott stated that EEAAO’s multiverse had, ‘infinitely more wit and imagination,’ than Doctor Strange 2’s version.
Curtis said in the caption, ‘TRUTH ALERT @everythingeverywheremovie is MARVELOUS! It has a deep BEATING heart and BRILLIANT visual treats, EXTRAORDINARY performances and FANTASTIC BEASTLY FIGHT SCENES…… AND it COST LESS than the ENTIRE craft service budget on Doctor Strange and/or any other Marvel movie.’
She added in her post, ‘COMPETITIVE? F**k YES. I wasn’t head cheerleader in high school for nothing. And P.S. our movie has a dynamite dildo fight scene as well as a very erotic hotdog hand mating dance and rocks.’
The actress even added the hashtag, #GuessIWillNeverBeCastInAMarvelMovie to her post.
Everything Everywhere All At Once went on to gross $139.4 million from a budget estimated between $14 million and $25 million.
It received glowing reviews from critics (93% on Rotten Tomatoes) and it would go on to win seven Oscars, including Curtis’ first for Best Supporting Actress.
