Jamie Laing broke down in tears as his wife Sophie Habboo revealed she had legally changed her surname.
The former Made In Chelsea stars married in front of their loved ones last April at the Chelsea Registry Office before jetting off to Spain in May for a second lavish ceremony.
Speaking during the latest episode of their podcast Newlyweds, Sophie, 30, couldn’t hold back her emotions as she revealed to Jamie, 35, that she is now officially, ‘Mrs Sophie Laing’.
On the NewlyWeds episode, Sophie read a poem, saying: ‘It’s been one wonderful year since I became your wife, saying I do to you was the best decision of my life.
‘We’ve laughed more and fought less since we wed, we’ve got weirder often pretending to play dead.

‘You play games and tricks on me endlessly my god, and the way we meow to each other is a little odd.
‘You rub your abs to check they’re there five times a day and you bum scratch and sniff will never be OK.
‘I think it is obvious there is no one I laugh with more and life is infinitely better with you in it, that’s for sure.’
She continued: ‘Truly my best friend, you build me up in everything and I’m so proud of you and all of the endless joy you bring.
‘It’s cute we have our bizarre little language of our own and I’m happiest because you are my home.
‘I honestly feel more safe with you than anyone, your my forever teammate and been in my corner since day one.’
‘Putting me first in every way, the kindest man ever how lucky are we that we get to do life together.
‘You fill in all my gaps and you fill in mine too, you see, I’m just completely myself and you love me for me.

Breaking down in tears, Sophie concluded: ‘So happy anniversary from me, Mrs. Sophie Laing. Yes that’s right Laing. I have officially changed my name.’
Jamie couldn’t believe the news and quickly got up to give Sophie a kiss while filming.
He replied: ‘You haven’t? No you haven’t? Have you actually? What! are you joking or being serious? I was not expecting that! I need to give you a hug, that means the world.
‘Honey, that is a lot, have you actually changed your name. I didn’t expect you to do that but that is the coolest thing ever. I’m really taken a back. That is so great. I love you so much. I’m so happy to be married to you.’
It comes after The Sun reported on May 1 that five years ago Jamie slept with a socialite behind Sophie’s back.
The woman, Rosi Walden, recently joined the cast of the new Selling Sunset spin-off, Buying London.
Rosi made a fleeting appearance on Made in Chelsea around the time of the affair but was not seen again.
In the episode of the C4 reality show, Rosi asks co-star Verity Bowditch: ‘What’s happening with Jamie and Habbs now?’
Verity replies: ‘They’re dating, they’re seeing how things go, they’re really happy…why, are you having doubts?’
Rosi then said: ‘I have a situation, which is what I spoke to you about, about me seeing someone, well it is kind of complicated.’
A shocked Verity asked if it was Jamie and Rosi said: ‘Yes, and the worst thing about it is that it’s obviously happening at the same time as this thing with Habbs. ‘It wasn’t just once, and even after the polo he has been texting me.’
Jamie had been dating Sophie for a few months at the time and later admitted that he was ‘not proud’ of his behaviour.
Sophie also said at the time that it was ‘never smooth sailing’ on the show and that there is ‘a lot of repenting of sins’.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, Jamie told ITV viewers that Sophie ‘really caught him by surprise’ by legally changing her name.
While speaking with Suzanna Reid and Martin Lewis, he admitted he ‘had tears in his eyes’ as Sophie revealed the news to him.
He said: ‘It was very sweet and emotional she surprised me that she had changed her name during our podcast and I had tears in my eyes. I was emotional it really caught me by surprise’.
It comes after Jamie recently admitted that since becoming a married man he’s become ‘lazy’ in the bedroom.
Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, Jamie confessed that Sophie always jokes he’s ‘bog standard’ in the bedroom, and now they’re married he ‘can’t be bothered’ to perform anymore.
He said: ‘I used to start doing joined-up handwriting then I thought, ‘I can’t be bothered with that as it’s quicker for me to not do it joined up’, I’m a bit like that in the bedroom.
‘I don’t give up halfway but I do remember that once I rolled on top of Sophie and she said, ”Oh, get on with it”.’
Jamie added that he suggested to Sophie that they attend a marriage counsellor, to help them communicate effectively.
He added that they now have twice-monthly sessions, and it’s made them more ’empathetic’ when discussing any issues in their relationship.
Sophie and Jamie first met while starring on Made In Chelsea together, and cemented their romance in 2019 after being friends for several years.
Describing her as ‘the kindest, most empathetic person he’s ever met,’ Jamie also shared that he wants a huge family with Sophie in the future.
Sophie previously revealed to that she and Jamie are planning to buy their first property together, as they look to the future as husband and wife.
Sophie and Jamie tied the knot in an intimate legal ceremony at Chelsea Registry Office in April 2023 with a small group of friends and family.
The couple then jetted to Spain, with their main nuptials taking place in May 2023 in Andalusia’s largest privately owned residential development in Sotogrande.
Sophie stunned in a lace gown by Emma Beaumont as they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in front of a star-studded crowd.
Sophie and Jamie’s relationship was well-documented throughout their time on Made In Chelsea.
