Israel have revealed what a Hamas terror base hidden underneath Gaza’s biggest hospital looks like, with a video showing a labyrinth of underground tunnels and war rooms used as main HQ for militant group.
An ‘intelligence-based illustration’ released by the Jewish nation’s military show a sinister network of corridors and rooms deep below the buildings where innocents are being treated.
The IDF claim the Shifa Hospital – the largest medical complex in the Gaza Strip – in fact harbours the HQ of the terrorist organisation.
Pictures show armouries, storage rooms and armed guards patrolling the web of passageways.

It comes as a top political adviser to Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hamas will feel Israel’s ‘wrath tonight’
The Jewish nation’s warplanes unleashed airstrikes of ‘unprecedented’ intensity across all parts of the Gaza strip and announced it was ‘expanding’ its ground forces’ operations
It comes after Israel’s ambassador to the UN said the ‘only way to destroy Hamas is to root them out of their tunnels and their subterranean city of terror’.
A top political adviser to Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hamas will feel Israel’s ‘wrath tonight’ as the Jewish nation’s warplanes unleashed airstrikes of ‘unprecedented’ intensity across all parts of the Gaza strip and announced it was ‘expanding’ its ground forces’ operations.
Hamas have rejected the Israeli claims that they are using hospitals as a shield for underground military infrastructure, saying it has ‘no basis in truth’.
Posting on social media, the IDF said: ‘The Shifa Hospital is not only the largest hospital in Gaza but it also acts as the main headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activity.
‘Terrorism does not belong in a hospital and the IDF will operate to uncover any terrorist infrastructure.’
According to one report the Israelis unleashed ‘bunker buster’ concussion missiles to try and destroy the extensive Hamas tunnel network under Gaza.
And experts have claimed the terrorist group have used hospitals and innocent Palestinians as ‘shields’ – using their deaths to further their own cause against Israel.
Colonel Philip Ingram, a former officer in British military intelligence, told : ‘Israel will be precisely targeting areas where Hamas have concentrated or have got military facilities.
‘Now what Hamas is doing is it’s putting those military facilities inside civilian buildings. Hamas want civilians to die.

The bombing, which observers described as much more ferocious and louder than previous days, coincided with electricity and communications blackouts in much of the besieged enclave
The IDF said tonight it was expanding its bombardment campaign against Gaza, and was ‘working powerfully in all dimensions’ to achieve its military goals
‘They want the world to see pictures of women and children being carried out of rubble after an attack.
‘Israel are proportional to the threat that’s in there and they’re being very careful to try and reduce civilian casualties as much as possible.
‘But because Hamas is using the Palestinian people as human shields civilian casualties aren’t inevitability.’
Israel’s aerial onslaught came with a warning from the IDF to Palestinian civilians still living in Gaza to move south as soon as possible, amid fears that the long-awaited ground invasion of the enclave may take place within hours.

Hamas returned fire with a ‘salvo’ of rockets, though it not known how many were caught by Israel’s Iron Dome defence system.
The terror group also called on those in the West Bank and ‘1948 territories’ – a term used by Palestinians meaning Israel in reference to when it was founded – to take up arms as Israel’s ground invasion begins.
Hamas reportedly said that it held Israel, the US and Western nations which support Israel ‘fully responsible for the series of heinous massacres’ against the people of Gaza
It was not clear whether the latest development in the bloodiest conflict between Hamas and Israel was a threat of a full invasion or a bigger but similar ‘probe’ to those launched on Wednesday and Thursday nights, with the troops returning by dawn.
