Due to heavy snow and freezing temperatures amidst a -10C Arctic blast, schools around the UK remain closed today.
The treacherous winter conditions mean some schools have decided to shut their doors for the day with children set to work remotely as the cold snap continues.
In three days of yellow weather warnings lasting until Thursday, the Met Office warn ‘disruptive’ snow will make it ‘bitterly cold’ for Brits – with 6 inches already recorded in Scotland.
Conditions saw around 200 schools across Aberdeenshire, Moray and Shetland closed at the start of the week, with dozens following suit since in England.
