Sydney influencer Sopha Dopha made a humiliating mistake during an interview at the 2023 TikTok Awards earlier this month.

The 19-year-old, real name Sophia Begg, was sitting in the audience when host Tony Armstrong approached her for an on-camera interview.

Sophia bizarrely told the TV presenter, 34, to stop flirting with her – despite the fact that he has a girlfriend.

‘How are you feeling? You look ecstatic and I’m pumped for you,’ Tony said as he addressed Sophia who was nominated for the Creator of the Year award.

‘Thank you. Wow! Stop flirting with me!’ Sophia replied, prompting scattered laughter in the audience.

‘Had a hard launch this week, mate. Don’t know if you caught the news…’ Tony replied, referring to his new relationship with girlfriend Rona Glynn-McDonald.

The audience roared with laughter as Tony continued: ‘That was not flirting, that was flattery.’

Visibly embarrassed, Sophia covered her mouth with one hand, before finally composing herself to reply: ‘No, thank you. I’m happy to be here.’

Sydney-based influencer Suzan Mutesi also found herself humiliated at n Fashion Week in May when her car battery died.

The 36-year-old, who has been accused of purchasing a bulk of her 1.2million Instagram followers, was left devastated when she missed a pivotal off-site fashion show because her $27,000 Mazda 3 refused to start.

Well-heeled attendees watched in shock as clearly-distressed Mutesi tried to revive her car, her frustration growing with each failed attempt to start the engine.

The influencer’s plight quickly became the spectacle of the day, with all eyes riveted on the scene – a stark contrast to the high fashion on the runway.

The dramatic scene came to a head when a NRMA truck pulled up to the venue, drawing curious and sympathetic glances from the fashionable crowd.

A roadside assistance worked to replace her car battery while Mutesi waited  helplessly on the sidelines.
