Two famous New York City lesbian bars are suing a woman for harassment after she sent them numerous menacing emails – leading them to fear that she could be a Luigi Mangione copycat.
Anne Marie Bompart, 29, was arrested Wednesday following her contempt hearing defamation lawsuits brought against her by the institutions Henrietta Hudson and Cubbyhole.
The bars allege Bompart went on a ‘woke’ crusade against them, hurling violent threats and accusing them of racism.
Evidence in the court filings include menacing emails and social media posts Bompart made towards the staff, and a screenshot of her Instagram Stories calling the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO shooter a hero.
‘[Bompart] is a potential copycat “Luigi Mangione” and capable of hurting herself and/or others,’ Thomas Shanahan, an attorney for both bars, wrote in the legal documents.
‘[She] has posted about her sexual attraction to Luigi Mangione and belief he is a “hero” for murdering a white corporate CEO.’
The Sapphic bars banned Bompart from their businesses last year after she allegedly threatened the Cubbyhole manager.
They claim after she was barred, Bompart initiated her campaign to destroy their reputations.
Documents included in the lawsuit show messages she sent to over 20 groups claiming the bars were racist.
‘I wanted to alert you that Henrietta Hudson is very racist (as is Cubbyhole). Black and brown people I know have experienced violence from white people at both places, and been banned or kicked, etc.,’ the messages said.
Other social media posts Bompart made include claiming a Cubbyhole employee named Vic sexually harassed her.
Documents show she sent threatening emails that include naming staff members on her ‘little list of “People Who Might Unfortunately End Up With Black Eyes and Bloody Noses Soon.”‘
‘Vic, since I’ve just had it now with your b******t, staring today next tine ANYone I meet while out tells me they heard about me from you – I consider that throwing a sub,’ Bompart said in one email.
‘Which to me, is grounds for beating your f*****g a** black and blue… I’m going to find you wherever you are and punch you in your f*****g face.’
In another email she said, ‘Black and blue AND bloody. Don’t test me now…’
Bompart posted an email she sent threatening to ‘stomp out’ a dog of a worker at Henrietta Hudson.
One Instagram Stories post revealed she wanted to purchase the bars after the lawsuit.
‘What do I want out of all of this? What I really, really want? Sue Cubbyhole. Bankrupt owner. Buy bar. Make it nice like it used to be and ban Lisa (owner) and Vic FOREVER.’
Bompart was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment after Wednesday’s hearing, the New York Post reported.
Evidence submitted by the businesses appears to show Bompart loitering outside of the bars, violating their court-ordered 500-foot restraining order.
The judge requested that she undergo a 72-hour mental health evaluation and continued the restraining orders.
Bompart’s lawyer, Gerard Lucciola, claimed the bars were being ‘sensationalist’ and her use of emojis and ‘lol’ in the messages show they are not threats.
They also deny that Bompart is the woman in the photographs outside the bars.
