Liam Hemsworth is all set to carve his own slice of paradise in the Byron Bay hinterland, following the footsteps of his superstar brother, Chris.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Hollywood star, 34, is embarking on the construction of a sprawling abode, with the total cost estimated to exceed $20 million.
Luckily for Byron Bay locals, Liam’s new digs won’t be as large as the Broken Head residence owned by his big brother Chris and wife Elsa Pataky, which has been dubbed by neighbours as ‘Fortress Hemsworth’.
Yet the younger Hemsworth’s still promises to be an epitome of luxury, combining sleek design with the serene backdrop of Byron’s hinterland.
Liam purchased the sprawling 37 hectare site for $6.8 million in 2021, and the building expenses are anticipated to cost around $14.6 million.

Designed by the acclaimed Melbourne-based SSdH architectural firm, the planned two-storey, pavilion-style home is a marvel of modern architecture, seamlessly blending into the hillside to minimise its environmental impact.
The layout features two open-plan living areas, a rumpus room surrounding an internal courtyard, and luxurious amenities such as a large cabana, terrace, and a nearly 18-meter swimming pool.
Privacy and comfort are paramount, with all five bedrooms boasting en suite bathrooms, in addition to a generously sized gymnasium and sauna.

Byron Bay has largely become synonymous with the Hemsworth clan, with brothers Liam, Chris and Luke’s total investment in the popular region estimated to be worth over $100million.
After buying his Byron Bay family home for $7million back in 2014, Chris transformed the sprawling property into a compound that has been valued at between $30million and $60million.

Critics and locals were quick to say that the rebuild reminds them of a suburban shopping centre, a refurbished RSL club or a regional airport terminal.
The 50-metre rooftop infinity pool alone is estimated to have cost at least $400,000, an enormous indoor mural could be worth as much as $100,000 and the landscaping bill would reach $500,000.
Eldest brother, Westworld star Luke, also took the keys to a $4.9 million beachfront home in Suffolk Park, not far from Chris’ property, in 2020.
The home was in a family trust directed by Liam and Chris, and was purchased two years prior for $4.3 million.
