The mansion Jessica Alba had hoped to raise her three children in is now up for sale.

The stunning farmhouse style property has been listed by Jessica, 43, and her ex-husband Cash Warren, 46, for $18,995,000, according to TMZ.

The monumental step is no doubt bittersweet for Jessica, who called the property her ‘dream house’ and opened up about all the renovations done to transform it into the perfect place for her family in a 2019 interview with Architectural Digest.

The Beverly Hills home was purchased by the couple for $10M in 2017 after they set out to find a property suitable for their kids to grow in.

Jessica announced her split from Cash just four months ago, and a subsequent divorce filing indicated they officially separated on December 27.

They were married for nearly 17 years and share daughters Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and son Hayes, seven.

The couple already lived down the street from the home and were looking for a property with a large backyard.

‘We wanted a place to watch our kids play and grow up,’ she told the magazine.

The property had been ‘stripped down to the studs’ when Jessica and her husband first checked it out, the actress recalled, and renovations took 18 months to complete.

In a video tour of the home Jessica conducted with AD alongside her kids, Jessica described designing the home to her liking after purchasing it – but with a ‘kid-friendly’ twist.

‘I just wanted to make sure the house, regardless of all of the beautiful materials and everything that we were gonna use in the house and the colors, that it was also kid-friendly and trying to use as many natural materials as possible,’ she said.

The emphasis on family even included the construction of a fireplace that was built solely to hang stockings on during the holidays.

‘We actually built this fireplace for stockings,’ Jessica said with a laugh.

The sophisticated star and mother of three was not ashamed to admit she used slip covers on her couches.

‘There’s a chic way to do slip covers,’ she insisted, citing help from the designer who helped transform her home, Clements Design. ‘Cause you never know with three kids!’ she added.

Reminders of the importance of family included an entire wall filled with photos of relatives, which she felt was important to have for her children to see.

‘So this wall is just a combination of grand parents, great grand parents, great great grandparents, great aunties and uncles and cousins.

‘We just think that it’s important for our kids to see themselves and see where they came from,’ she explained.

Her favorite part of the house was also tied to her little ones.

‘For us, the best part of the house is the view in the yard, and being able to watch the kids play,’ she said as they entered a different room.

‘I’ve been dreaming of this kitchen probably my whole life because I do love to cook,’ she said.

‘The breakfast nook is another one of my childhood fantasies, to be able to have a breakfast nook,’ she continued. ‘It’s really a breakfast, lunch, and dinner nook because we eat here all the time.’

The backyard was also another central gathering area for the family, who enjoyed entertaining friends and families there over the weekends.

It was also special to Jessica as she enjoyed seeing her children in the yard.

‘I like seeing you guys play in the yard,’ she told her kids.

‘I always wanted to have like an indoor outdoor vibe and also outdoor dining is so nice during the summer,’ she explained of the dining area. ‘It’s nice for barbeques, and we spend so much time with family and friends on the weekends.’

Jessica and Cash are both single now after splitting up late last year, with the Good Luck Chuck star filing for divorce in February.

No doubt the dissolution of their marriage is going to get complicated as they have no prenup and there is plenty of money at stake.

In 2016, Forbes estimated Alba’s net worth was around $340 million due to the success of The Honest Company, which she founded in 2011.

Five years later, they retracted the report and said with her ‘6% stake (including options)’ in the brand, she ‘would only be worth just under $100 million.’

‘That is far less than the $340 million Forbes estimated she was worth when we estimated her stake to be 20% and put her on our 2016 list of America’s most successful self-made women,’ the publication explained in their correction.

Like his wife, Warren has found success as an entrepreneur after launching his underwear and sock company, Pair of Thieves, valued at around $100 million.

In January, a legal expert told DailyMail.com that the couple’s split could get ‘complicated’ as various factors come into play.

Alba’s money comes not just from her high-profile acting career which includes films such as Into The Blue, Honey and Sin City. But it also is from her success as the founder of Honest Company.

The Honest Company, Inc. is a consumer goods company based in Los Angeles and founded by Alba, Christopher Gavigan, and Brian Lee. The company is valued at roughly $640 million.

Among their assets is their $10M Beverly Hills mansion.
