Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines used a roof-mounted sprinkler system to protect their Los Angeles from the LA fires.

Kennedy, 71, and Hines, 59, live among Hollywood’s elite in a stunning $6.6 million mansion in Brentwood, one of the most exclusive enclaves in the city.

After wildfires decimated the City of Angels, the fires reached the glitzy area in the Santa Monica Mountains.

The home of the couple however has remained intact, thanks to their sprinkler system which was caught on camera dousing the exterior with water.

Footage captured of the system shows a mist of water emitting from the roof, hitting a tree that neighbors the property and fanning down across the main entrance.

Aerial shots also show how firefighters battling the blazes dropped red fire retardant on the inferno to the rear of their home.

The couple’s home in Mandeville Canyon in Brentwood is a vivid demonstration of their gilded life.

Kennedy, who is tipped to be Trump’s health secretary, purchased the home on Mandeville Canyon Road in July 2021 for an eyewatering $6.6million.

The stunning 5,900 sq. ft. Mediterranean-style residence boasts six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and is described as a ‘resort-inspired abode’.

According to the property listing, the interior has an ‘abundance of natural light that creates an ethereal feel.’

It features an open plan layout with double-height ceilings and large windows.

There’s a formal dining area with beamed ceiling for Kennedy and Hines to entertain famous guests, a family room, playroom, breakfast nook and multiple fireplaces.

Outside, there are lush gardens and a ‘serene’ swimming pool with a waterfall, spa, and Tiki bar.

Hines, who starred in Curb Your Enthusiasm, sold her previous home, also in Mandeville Canyon, to Chelsea Handler for $5.9million in October 2021.

Besides the couple, DailyMail.com revealed last year that their neighbors include the likes of Dr. Dre, talent manager Scooter Braun and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Other nearby celebrities included Gwyneth Paltrow, filmmaker Oliver Stone and Sarah Michelle Gellar and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.

Despite Kennedy and Hines managing to save their home, the fires have destroyed over 14,000 structures since they broke out on January 7 and killed at least 28 people.

Containment of the Palisades Fire has now reached 72 percent, while the separate Eaton Fire was at 95 percent.

Fire fears are not over for residents however, with two new fires threatening again to terrorize the city that is still recovering.

The fast-spreading Hughes Fire, which started Wednesday, is exploding in the hills near Santa Clarita, a rural enclave around 40 miles north west of Hollywood.

A separate fire has also broken out in the ritzy beach town of Laguna, where multi-million dollar mansions lie in the flames’ path.

Tens of thousands of people were evacuated from their homes in Castaic, near Santa Clarita, to escape the Hughes fire.

The California fires have overall caused at least $28 billion in insured damage and probably a little more in uninsured damage.
