A popular New York City influencer has admitted to forcing a little boy she was babysitting to smoke a vape after the shocking video she filmed resurfaced online.
Fiona Jordan, 23, who has 100,000 followers on Instagram and almost 600,000 on TikTok, came under fire after a clip of a young child smoking while in her care was posted on social media.
In the video, an unnamed boy was seen putting his mouth on the nicotine vaporizer device, which was being held out for him by one of the two girls involved.
The boy exhaled and smoke drifted from his mouth – causing the girls, including Jordan, to burst into laughter as the child coughed and looked around in confusion.
Hours after being contacted by the Daily Mail for comment, Jordan admitted her involvement in the scandal – saying she was 15 years old at the time and now takes full responsibility for her actions.
She told her followers: ‘I was not in the right state of mind. As a young girl, I was making a lot of reckless choices, and honestly I made a terrible decision.
‘Recording it and being there makes me just as guilty and I take full responsibility for this. I am truly deeply sorry for the pain that I have caused that family, now and then.
‘I can’t change what I did, but I can acknowledge how wrong it was.’
Jordan said that she was not in the correct headspace at the time, since her mother had recently died, and she hung around the wrong crowd of people in her teens.
The original video – filmed eight years ago – was uploaded on an Instagram with the username @shrimpd**kenergy, which belonged to Jordan.
Pennsylvania-born Jordan faced backlash after the video resurfaced online.
‘Psychotic behavior. Truly awful to see that poor baby and hear them LAUGHING. pure evil,’ one commenter wrote.
‘The way he looks sad and coughs after wow they are monsters,’ another posted.
‘Disturbing she thinks child abuse is FUNNY… an absolutely vile individual,’ an account commented.
Jordan lived in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with her parents at the time. The influencer’s father – William Jordan – is an officer with the Dunmore Police Department, according to public records.
Jordan’s LinkedIn shows that the 23-year-old attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Corporate Communications.
She has been a content creator since graduating is frequently traveling across the US, from New York to Chicago to Palm Desert, where she attended Coachella and Stagecoach.
Jordan has partnered with multiple high-profile brands, including White Fox Boutique, Bloom and Essence Makeup.
