A woman who bought a Too Good To Go bag from Aldi for £3 has revealed why it was ‘definitely worth’ every penny.

The mystery bag phenomenom has proved a big hit with Brits as people rush to show off their hauls on social media.

The trend has been helped by cheap dishes on Too Good To Go, an app that allows people to claim food from major retailers at a heavily discounted price to stop it from going to waste.

Posting her shop to TikTok, Sophie Hill visited popular low-cost supermarket Aldi to see what she would be given after spending less than a fiver on her goodie box.

Giving viewers a glimpse of what she was given, she panned a camera to showcase all the items together before going through them individually.

She went on to reveal a pack of pork chops, three multipacks of pork pies, a beef and vegetable pasty and some French bread with a camembert dipping sauce.

However, there was one item she was surprised to receive four packs of, which can be common with Too Good To Go bags as retailers look to sell on certain types of the same product.

As a result, Sophie was taken aback when she unveiled four packs of corned beef from the bag, commenting that her purchase was ‘definitely worth the £3 but what do I do with all that corned beef?’

Responding to the video, other users urged her to make the classic British dish of corned beef hash, which involves pairing corned beef with potatoes or dumplings, and a variety of vegetables.

Commenters wrote: ‘Make corned beef hash it’s lovely’.

‘You can freeze corned beef just make sure it’s properly defrosted when you decide to take it out!’

‘I had about 15 packets of corned beef in my Aldi box I froze it’.

‘You got a good deal. Corned beef pies and chips can all be frozen.’

Others were concerned about what they might get if they were non-meat eaters, remarking: ‘Imagine you’re a vegetarian taking a risk’.

‘Wonder if anywhere do a meat free one? As a pensioner on a tight budget I was thinking of trying these!’

‘What about vegetarians do you get a choice?’
