alert-–-i-bought-a-too-good-to-go-bag-from-blank-street-for-3.50…-here-is-the-insane-saving-i-madeAlert – I bought a Too Good To Go bag from Blank Street for £3.50… here is the insane saving I made

A man who bought a Too Good To Go bag from Blank Street Coffee has revealed how much the total value of his purchase was worth compared to what he paid.

The format of unveiling a mystery bag has proved a big hit with Brits across social media, as they keenly share the items they were given.

The trend has been helped by cheap offerings on Too Good To Go, an app that allows people to claim food from major retailers at a heavily discounted price to stop it from going to waste.

Posting to TikTok under his account @ishxn.a, the individual recorded what he was able to procure when buying one from popular coffee chain Blank Street.

Opening his first bag, he unwrapped it to reveal a pain au chocolat filled with pistachio cream inside – which would have cost £3.49 if bought individually, meaning that Ishan had already made his money back with just a single item.

Moving on to the next item, the vlogger pulled out an almond croissant to present to the camera, which had an individual price of £3.30.

Vividly impressed by the quality of the two pastries, he enthused: ‘Just look how good this looks’.

‘One of these cost £3.30 in the store so the fact I got these for [a total of} £3.50 is absolutely insane’.

Opening the third bag, Ishan clearly expected something big in store as he noted how ‘heavy’ the container felt.

His intuition served him well, as he proceeded to pull out an enormous cinnamon bun, which would have cost £3.20.

Wrapping up the clip, he pulled out a pistachio cookie, which has a standalone price of £2.90.

This meant that, in total, the four items he received came to £12.80, meaning he garnered the items worth 3.65 times more than the £3.50 he paid.

It comes after a woman who bought a Too Good To Go bag from Aldi for £3 has revealed why it was ‘definitely worth’ every penny.

Posting her shop to TikTok, Sophie Hill visited popular low-cost supermarket Aldi to see what she would be given after spending less than a fiver on her goodie box.

Giving viewers a glimpse of what she was given, she panned a camera to showcase all the items together before going through them individually.

She went on to reveal a pack of pork chops, three multipacks of pork pies, a beef and vegetable pasty and some French bread with a camembert dipping sauce.

However, there was one item she was surprised to receive four packs of, which can be common with Too Good To Go bags as retailers look to sell on certain types of the same product.

As a result, Sophie was taken aback when she unveiled four packs of corned beef from the bag, commenting that her purchase was ‘definitely worth the £3 but what do I do with all that corned beef?’
