HP is looking to help their customers want to ‘never own a printer again.’
The tech company launched a new feature on February 29 that consumers can sign up for if they’re not a fan of printing.
This feature will help the public complete a common task while working on their computers for a fixed monthly price.
Customers will have the option to use the new feature on three HP printers: the HP ENVY, the HP ENVY Inspire, and the HP OfficeJet Pro.
According to HP CEO Enrique Lores this new feature will be meeting the company’s ‘long-term objective.’

The company’s new subscription service called the HP All-In Plan.
Subscribers will be able to rent a new printer, print a certain amount of pages and get ink delivered from HP whenever they need it.
Individuals who are hoping to try out the HP ENVY will be able to do so for only $6.99 a month.
The HP ENVY Inspire will also get the job done, but consumers will have to spent $8.99 a month.
The ENVY printers may not be for everyone, and anyone who wishes to not use those can pay $12.99 per month for the HP OfficeJet Pro.
Anyone who signs up for the service can choose to print 20 to 700 pages a month for prices ranging from $6.99 to $36.
Subscribers will also have access to live support if there is a printer jam and they will have the option to upgrade to a new printer after two years.
The new subscription service is part of the new direction of its business.

‘We lose money on the hardware, we make money on the supplies,’ Lores told CNBC.
Lores also stated that the company’s goal is to ‘decrease the number of unprofitable customers’ or people who bought printers, but didn’t by supplies.
‘Every time a customer buys a printer, it’s an investment for us,’ said Lores.
‘If this customer doesn’t print enough, or doesn’t use our supplies, it’s a bad investment.’
The HP All-In Plan is not the only subscription service that the company has launched.
The HP Instant Ink plan is described on its website as ‘the hassle-free, money-saving ink subscription service that automatically delivers ink when you’re running low.’
This service currently starts at $1.49 a month and individuals have the option to choose between a 10 to 700 page ink or toner plan.
