Taylor Swift revealed how she managed to fit in The Tortured Poets Department set ‘halfway through’ her Eras Tour.
In her newly released Eras Tour Book, the 34-year-old megastar got candid with Swifties about squeezing in an eleventh era filled with dazzling new ensembles and daring choreography for the remaining 70+ stops on her concert tour at the time.
‘We conceptualized and rehearsed it secretly, and surprised the Paris crowd with it when we started our European leg of the tour,’ she penned in the 256 page picture book.
The Mirrorball hitmaker also detailed wanting to maintain a ‘minimalist, white, stark and bold’ theme for TTPD set, a major contrast from her rest of the colourful.
‘There was nothing else in the show like it, and it was such an exciting challenge to try to improve upon a show I already loved,’ she added.
The Eras Tour Book was released exclusively at Target, which was made available in stores on Friday and online on Saturday — it retails for $39.99.

Describing the set’s visuals and props she said she aimed to ‘create the illusion of an alien abduction, a battle scene, a religious institution, a mental institution, a haunted house and a showgirl’s dressing room routine.’
The 14-time GRAMMY winner rhapsodized the feat, claiming the addition of was ‘ambitious as hell’ but proclaimed its ‘the most dramatic, cathartic, female-rage driven part of the night.’

She previously revealed that the book includes never-before-seen photos from over 100 shows, as well as the chance for fans to own The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD.
The 1 singer also described the hot commodity as the ‘official retrospective of the most wonderful tour of her life.’
She also sparked rumors of a possible twelfth album and another tour with the final line in the Eras Tour Book: ‘See you next era.’

TTPD and its deluxe version, The Anthology, were released on April 19, and are speculated to detail heart shattering moments from her failed relationships with exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy with the smash hits ‘Peter’, ‘loml’, ‘So Long, London’ and ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’
The Tennessee native also gave fans a glimpse into her current relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce with the tracks ‘So High School’ and ‘The Alchemy.’

At the time, she shared a black and white clip of herself preforming different dance moves and poses behind a song from the album, Fortnight.
The speculation was confirmed on the May 9th stop at the Paris La Défense Arena when she added TTPD set with glamorous ensembles and jaw dropping visual effects.
She added seven tracks from the record, including ‘So High School’, ‘Fortnight’ and ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.’
The Eras Tour commenced on March 17 last year in Glendale, Arizona, and grossed well over $1.04 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour in history according to AP.
Swift is slated to wrap the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada on December 8.
Throughout her stops on the Eras Tour, the August singer played four surprise songs — that changed for every show — on the piano and acoustic guitar.
And she played nearly every record on her 300+ song discography that she has vocalized on her two-decade long career as an artist.
She also frequently gave special nods to her athlete boyfriend Travis Kelce during various tour stops, such as her stint of shows in New Orleans in which she acted as though she was throwing a football while singing the outro of her song ‘Midnight Rain’.
Swift preformed the motion as reference to the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end while singing the words, ‘He never thinks of me, except when I’m on TV.’

While kicking off the final leg of the tour in Miami, Florida las month, Swift told fans she hand-picked cities with the most ‘enthusiastic’ fans to close out the last handful of shows of her Eras Tour.
While preforming in Magic City on Saturday evening, the Cardigan singer thanked the crowd of screaming fans and revealed she intentionally selected her concert locations.
The singer said: ‘We decided, if we’re going to end this tour, eventually it has to happen, we gotta pick the crowds and the cities and the places where the crowds are going to be passionate, enthusiastic, screaming the words to every single song, like the most fun crowds imaginable.
‘So, there was only one conclusion for how to kick off this last leg, and that is Miami, Florida!’
