A commercial tanker collided with a pleasure boat, leaving one man dead, another missing, and at least two injured.
The collision occurred in the ship channel at approximately 5:30 am on Saturday morning in the Lydia Ann Channel, near the ferry landing in Port Aransas, according to the US Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard is searching for a missing 25-year-old man who is believed to be in the water.
One of the injured individuals received treatment at the Coast Guard station in Port Aransas, while the other was transported to a hospital.
At 7:30 am, emergency boats were spotted near the channel intersection close to San Jose Island arriving on the scene where the recreational boat was mostly submerged.
