Video footage has captured the horrifying moment a Los Angeles teen was beaten and stabbed at a bonfire party by a mob who filmed the attack and posted it online.
The 16-year-old boy spent days in the intensive care unit with severe injuries clinging to his life.
The brutal assault took place on February 10 in Dockweiler State Beach where video shows the teenager repeatedly pummeled, beaten, stomped on and stabbed by at least five people before the mob robbed him of his sneakers.
The teenager was reportedly trying to help a young girl when he was challenged to a fight which he turned down before being attacked.

The suspects shouted racist and homophobic slurs as they beat the teen. The video of the violent attack has since circulated online.
The victim’s mother, Frankie, believes it could have been gang related.
‘They was calling him all types of names and kicking him all in his head and his face, stabbing him,’ Frankie told KTLA.
Frankie said her son was left with a concussion, a tube going through his chest, a collapsed lung among other injuries. Doctors didn’t know if he would survive.
‘The doctor, like as soon as we walked through the door, they were like, ‘We didn’t know if your son was going to live,’ the victim’s mother, Frankie, told KTLA.
‘I just started crying and I just went over there and held my son’s head and told him mommy’s not going anywhere.’

‘He had a punctured lung, a concussion. They had to put a tube through his chest to suck all the blood out,’ she added.
The teenager stayed out of trouble and was ‘loved by everyone,’ his mother said.
‘My son was helping a friend,’ she told KTLA. ‘He helped get her up off the ground and then a guy just asked him to stop and then my son just wanted to help his friend. The guy asked him if he wanted to fight, and my son didn’t want to fight him.’
‘I’m still at a loss for words knowing that somebody did this to him and they can still be out there looking for him,’ she said.
Los Angeles Police Department has reportedly identified some of the attackers. The investigation into the attack is ongoing.

In addition to mounting medical bills, the victim’s mother is now aiming to relocate over safety concerns. She has set up a GoFundMe for support.
‘Hello, my name is Frankie-i’m reaching out to the community for any support for my son-he was brutally beaten and stabbed multiple times, resulting in a punctured lung, as well as a host of other injuries-this took place at Dockweiler Beach on February 10th,’ she wrote.
‘Any, and all donations no matter the amount is greatly appreciated-our goal is to move as soon as possible out of fear of retaliation being that we have fully cooperated with law enforcement.’
‘Thank each and everyone of you who donated or simply took the time out to give attention to this tragic incident.’
