Sickening footage captured the moment 10 middle schoolers viciously beat a fellow student on a New York City bus in broad daylight, before they claimed he deserved it because he was a ‘weirdo.’
The teenage mob was pictured in cuffs on Monday, two days after the attack, in a Snapchat image seemingly captioned by a student: ‘(He) f****** deserved that he’s a f****** weirdo and he shoulda died.’
Video of the attack sparked outrage online, showing the victim cowering while unable to escape a rain of punches, kicks and slaps from the other youths.
It later emerged that the teens attend Mark Twain Intermediate School in New York City’s Coney Island, which is supposedly for ‘Gifted and Talented’ students, but also saw another savage beating of an 11-year-old girl on a bus just weeks prior.

The teen cowered in fear and desperately covered his head, while other teens simply watched on and filmed it on their phones
In the footage of the latest bus attack, students could be heard roaring in excitement as they pummeled the teenager, while he tries in vain to protect his head.
The boy gradually makes his way down the length of the bus, continuing through a gauntlet of punches before even taking a hit from a flying sneaker.
Numerous other teens can be seen filming the violence and deciding not to help. The bus was reportedly only containing students, and shuttled them from their school in Coney Island through Brooklyn.
Two days after the incident, police were seen in Snapchat images placing several students in handcuffs.
The NYPD told DailyMail.com that no arrests were made at the school on Monday, and said it is possible the incident was dealt with internally within the school.
The shocking snapchat caption also called for the cops to ‘free them’ – a sentiment seemingly not shared by the millions of viewers of the footage on social media.
The NYC School Safety Commission, which advocates for increased safety measures in New York schools, shared the footage as it declared: ‘This is why we need safe corridors. We need police officers on buses, not just trains.’
Viewers also took issue with the students reportedly attending a school for the ‘gifted and talented’.
‘If this happens there, imagine what goes on in regular schools,’ said one commenter.

Just weeks before the attack on the bus, students laughed and filmed as the 11-year-old was approached from behind and punched to the ground in front of shocked pedestrians at the same school
The incident comes after an 11-year-old girl was savagely beaten at the same school, which sparked outrage after the bully was set to return despite the incident.
The shocking assault was also caught on film with gloating friends pulling out their phones to record the moment the attacker strode up to the 11-year-old before flooring her with a punch and kicking her repeatedly as she lay in the street.
Stylized videos celebrated the attack outside Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted and Talented, with slow motion replays and laughing emojis adding to the humiliation.
But the attacker was served only with a suspension from the Brooklyn school while the victim now has been assigned a staff ‘bodyguard’ to escort her through the premises.
‘Imagine knowing you could not like someone, harass them, plot an attack and film it and spread the evidence,’ the victim’s father said.
