Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee allegedly went on an explicit rant against members of her staff – a tirade reportedly captured on an audio recording that is currently being circulated.
The leaked clip, posted by far-right Texas blog Current Revolt has not been authenticated, but is said to show the aspiring Houston mayor’s foul-mouthed response to a staffer about a paper concerning Ovide Duncantell.
Duncantell, who died aged 82 in 2018, was the founder of the Black Heritage Society, and was heavily involved in the city’s politics over the course of his lifetime.
According to the blog, the staffer told Jackson Lee – who five days ago received backing from Hillary Clinton in her quest to head the Texas Democrat stronghold – that another staffer, ‘Jerome’, had the document, and he’d give him a call about it.
That’s when the clip supposedly cuts in, claims Current Revolt – reportedly showing how the 73-year-old went off on both. In it, a female voice said to be the rep’s reams ‘Jerome’ and the other staffer out for what she deemed as incompetence.

Just last week, however, Jackson Lee scored a major victory in her bid to become the mayor of Texas’s most Democratic city, gaining the support of former First Lady Hillary Clinton in the form of a post to the ex-secretary of state’s social media
It begins: ‘I don’t want you to do a g*ddamn thing. I want you to have a f*cking brain. I want you to have read it. I want you to say ‘Congresswoman, with such and such date.’
‘That’s what I want,’ the recording continues. ‘That’s the kind of staff that I want to have.’
At that point in the clip, the woman being heard continues to spew profanities, as she harshly explains to the staffer how she expects her workers to handle calendar events.
She also cites the specific importance of Duncantell in particular, due to his lasting reputation in The Bayou City.
‘So some stupid other motherf*cker did it. And, and I don’t have the information,’ she says, explaining how rather then deflecting blame, she required whoever took the information to know when and where the event was taking place place.
She goes on to mock the staffer by speaking from his perspective, stating: ”Nobody sent me the information. I need to ensure schedule and, uh, you know, if Boo Boo did it, shita** did it, f*ckface did it.’
‘And nobody knows a g*ddamn thing in my office! Okay? Nothing!’ she goes on to exclaim, before harshly stating to the staffer: ‘I gave it to you.’
It continues: ‘Your job was to get it on the calendar, imprint it in your brain, or send me the information back saying, ‘Congresswoman, I made sure that the Ovide Ducantell event that you gave me for a so-and-so date at seven is on the f*cking calendar. Not to ‘Oh Jerome has it.’ Okay?
The 18-year congresswoman has been friends with the former first lady for several years. The pair are pictured together at an event commemorating Martin Luther King Jr outside the Memphis hotel where he was assassinated, back in 2008
According to the blog, the staffer told Jackson Lee – who five days ago received backing from Hillary Clinton in her quest to head the Texas Democrat stronghold – that another staffer, ‘Jerome’, had the document, and he’d give him a call about it
She goes on to recount an alleged conversation with the so-called ‘Jerome’, who she said was ‘only sitting up there like a fata** stupid idiot talking about what the f**k he doesn’t know’ when she called him with a similar line of questioning.
She then declares: ‘Both of y’all are f*ck ups [inaudible]. It’s the worst sh*t that I could have ever had put together’.
At this point, the woman said to be representative for Texas’s 18th congressional district at this point is still not done, and goes on to refer to her two employees as ‘two g*ddamn big ass children.’
‘F*cking idiots [who]serve no g*ddamn purpose,’ she continus. ;Ain’t managing nobody. Nobody’s respecting them. Nobody gives a sh*t about what you’re doing and you ain’t doing sh*t. And this is an example of it. I gave it to Jerome.
‘This is not child’s work.’
The less-than-two minute clip has since sent the internet into a fervor, and threatens to upend the New York native’s recently announced intentions to take on fellow Democrat Sen. John Whitmire in November’s marquee mayoral election in the US.
Jackson Lee took office in 1995, about two decades after Whitmire began his still-ongoing stint in the Texas Legislature.

Just days ago, Clinton praise the mayoral candidate’s ‘relentless efforts in Congress’ over the yearsm which she said proves ‘she has the experience and vision to lead Houston into the future’
Both have commanded the spotlight – and money – in the race to lead America’s fourth-largest city, where growth has caused municipal headaches, but has also turned the area into an expanding stronghold for Texas Democrats.
Both also face the challenge of tackling crime, crumbling infrastructure, budget shortfalls and a lack of affordable housing.
Just last week, however, Jackson Lee scored a major victory in her bid to best the veteran congressman, gaining the support of former First Lady Clinton in the form of a post to the ex-secretary of state’s social media.
In it, Clinton, 75, proudly proclaimed: ‘I endorse and proudly support my friend, [Jackson Lee], to be the next mayor of Houston.’
The post saw the politician praise the mayoral candidate’s ‘relentless efforts in Congress’ over the years, which she said proves ‘she has the experience and vision to lead Houston into the future.
‘She’s always been a fierce champion for her constituents, and I have no doubt that she’ll bring that same fire and dedication to her role as mayor,’ Clinton also claimed.
She has yet to comment on the now viral recording.
