alert-–-health-professional-reveals-the-one-thing-you-should-never-touch-at-a-barAlert – Health professional reveals the one thing you should NEVER touch at a bar

A seasoned health professional warned people about ordering drinks with lemon wedges, saying that they are ‘one thing’ that she will not touch in a restaurant or bar.

Vicky Derosa took to TikTok to caution her 410,000 followers against lemons and other citrus fruits.

‘As a health professional and as someone who’s been studying health for over 40 years, there is one thing that I will never touch in a restaurant,’ Derosa said at the beginning of her video, which has been viewed over 75,000 times.

‘Not in a restaurant, not in a bar, not anywhere unless I have purchased it, unless I have washed it, and unless I have sliced it,’ she continued.

After revealing that the item in question was a lemon, Derosa issued a stern warning to her followers.

‘Don’t do it,’ she said. ‘Lemon, lime, orange. Don’t do it.’

The health professional proceeded to clarify her hardline stance against all things citrus, explaining that there was a legitimate reason for this aversion.

‘Citrus is one of the dirties things,’ Derosa said. ‘It has so many toxins.’

The health expert went on to say that even if the lemons are organic, there is ‘a theory that says that even if you buy organic, it has lots of stuff on it.’

Derosa then indicated that she is skeptical when restaurants claim that their lemons are organic.

‘How many restaurants really buy organic lemons anyway,’ she asked.

‘I’m really compassionate, and I’m really kind…but I’m not sure I buy that one.’

At this point in the TikTok video, the health professional reiterated her injunction to avoid lemons.

‘So when you get a glass of water, when you get a drink at a bar, tell them, “Please don’t put a lemon slice in it, please don’t put a lime wedge.”‘

‘They’re not washed,’ she emphasized. ‘And even if they are washed, they’re not organic.’

‘Think about having something that’s not washed, not organic, god knows where it’s been sitting, and now all of a sudden it’s sitting in your drink for an hour.’

In the comments section, other users commiserated with Derosa and objected to lemons.

‘As a former waitress, I agree,’ one woman wrote.

‘It’s like Russian roulette,’ someone remarked.

Another user said that they once had salmonella and were hospitalized for three days. They then claimed that the first question the CDC asked them was if they ‘put a lemon in [their] drink at a restaurant.’
