As a mother incredibly close to her children, Victoria Beckham is undoubtedly invested in her son’s love lives and was devastated when Romeo split from his childhood love, Mia Regan.
And as the 22-year-old debuted his romance with the 23-year-old photographer and ‘wild child’, Gray Sorrenti, it may come as no surprise that Posh Spice, 50, links her son to his new flame.
Gray is the daughter of Victoria’s friend and collaborator – the famed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti – who shot the campaign for Posh’s first collaboration with Reebok in 2019.
Sorrenti is best known for creating Kate Moss’s iconic Calvin Klein ad in the 90s but has also taken pictures of the mother-of-four for her publicity images.
Posh said in 2019: ‘I am behind the camera with Mario all day and then at the end, I am the one who has to be on the other side of the camera. Having to wear both hats can be stressful.’
Romeo Beckham and Gray Sorrenti confirmed their romance after they were spotted in New York on a romantic stroll locking lips and hugging
Five years later, their children were enjoying a romantic stroll in New York this week and they packed on the PDA, locking lips and wrapping their arms around each other.
Romeo and Gray were first spotted together when the Beckham’s second eldest son was in Paris supporting his mum last month and was seen getting a cab together after the Saint Laurent party.
It comes as Romeo announced he was leaving Brentford FC reserves team, and football altogether, to follow in his fashionista mother’s footsteps.
Posh no doubt approves of the relationship as she has followed Gray on Instagram for years who is a rising star in the fashion world, following in her father’s footsteps as a photographer.
A fellow ‘nepo baby’ with Romeo, Gray has shot ad campaigns for the likes of Loewe, Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein as well as a slew of celebrity magazine covers.
Awkwardly, another long-term follower of Gray is Romeo’s ex-girlfriend, Mia Regan, who dated the former footballer for five years before he confirmed their split in February.
Mia, who is a model and social media influencer, has been liking Gray’s pictures on Instagram since 2021 when she was still going out with Romeo.
But the pair split after reportedly having an argument, with Mia moving out of his home in Battersea and both confirming it on their Instagram saying, ‘After five years we friendzoned each other.’

Victoria was said to have been devastated by the split as she was very close to Mia who was a muse for her label.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: ‘Mia and Victoria have always been the two that have been close – in fact, Mia was at her side through the fallout with Nicola and was a constant support.’
Romeo and Mia are still friends, but for Victoria, it isn’t the same, so she is so relieved to have Nicola in her life properly now.
‘Victoria is all about family, and she has longed to have close relationships with her sons’ partners.’
The former Spice Girl famously had a fallout with her eldest son Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham during preparations for the couple’s wedding in May 2022.

Speculation was rife at the time, but it appeared that the problems began after it emerged that Victoria didn’t have time to make Nicola’s wedding dress.
Instead, the bride wore Valentino – and later gave an interview insisting that ditching Victoria’s offer was not intended to be a slight against her new mother-in-law.
Nicola said: ‘I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.’
But the women have reconciled and Nicola has since often called her mother-in-law’s designs ‘genius’ and the pair are undoubtedly closer than ever.
